MY outside unit will not kick on now I just had it filled and seem to not want to kick on so I'm thinking it a short or the new t-stat that was just replace over the winter heat side works fine

Turn breaker off. Wire nut the red, green and yellow. Turn breaker on. Check outside. If unit is running either your tstat is not setup properly or it is bad

The unit will come on in house but fan is not on outside you can hear it clicking like its trying to and blowing warm air

Sounds like you need a new Run capacitor or hard start kit (includes the capacitor), but you should have it checked by tech

My intertherm ac unit is freezing up outside ,why? are there any recalls on these units

Few things cause this. Poor or no airflow inside the furnace, dirty filters, poor filter placement that will cause your indoor cooling coil to plug with dirt, or low freon pressure.

I have a heat pump and it freeze up

If you are referring to the outside unit freezing up, the issue is in the defrost cycle. The defrost cycle works something like this: The unit reverses the flow of freon causing the inside coil to blow cold air into the conditioned space and the outside coil is now working like an a/c unit, it gets warm to melt the frost/ice. The inside unit electric heat strips come on so you do not notice the cold air being blown in. The fan on the outside unit stops running to allow the coil to get good and warm.
Now the unit should go into the defrost cycle every 90 minutes or so. It should not terminate the cycle untill the coil is clear of frost. There is an "Klixon" type termostat that measures the temperature of the outside coil. This is most likely the problem. It is prematurely terminating the defrost cycle. I'd start there first.

Hope this helps, Let me know if I can be of any further help.

I need a coil for a split unit intertherm unit I dont know the model but the moble home is a 1998

That's not going to cut it. You can't just stick a coil on a system. You will need model # of furnace and most importantly the model # of the outdoor unit in order to find a coil that is an appropriate match; otherwise, you will probably end up shooting yourself in the foot and spending alot more in the long run to fix mistakes. I recomend contating a local professional to help you.

Heating problems

It sounds like the unit is going into a defrost cycle, which is normal for heat pumps and means all is working ok when it gets around 35 or colder they start to do this more often when the red light goes back off , the outdoor fan should come back on. You may also notice steam (may look like smoke) coming from outdoor unit. Is that what happens??

Intertherm heat pump

FIRST YOUR OUTSIDE UNIT PROVIDES HEAT BY USING A REVERSING VALVE TO CHANGE THE REFRIGERANT FLOW.THERE IS NO HEAT STRIPS OUTSIDE SECOND YOUR EMERGENCY HEAT TURNS ON ELECTRIC ELEMENTS INSIDE YOUR AIRHANDLER UNIT.IT SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE HAS WIRED YOUR UNIT WRONG OR HAS THE THERMOSTAT SET IMPROPERLY.WHEN THE HEAT PUMP CANNOT SATTISFY THE SETPOINT THE THERMOSTAT IS SUPPOSED TO TURN ON YOUR ELEC. HEAT UNTILL THE LOAD HAS BEEN REACHED AND THE HEAT PUMP CAN CONTINUE TO MAINTAIN IT.

Intertherm to Honeywell thermostat

Typically if you have a yellow wire in the "y" terminal blue is used as common or "c". As far as your jumper from rc to rh, that will depend upon what type of heat you have. If all of your heat and cooling come from your packaged unit outside, yes you will need the jumper. If this does not work maybe you have a bad breaker or transfomer.
