Question about LG DLE7177 Dryer

1 Answer

Power button on my lg dle7177wm dryer broke (pushed in and would not come back out) and now will not work at all. Before I tear it apart and break plastic tabs, can you advise me as to how to get front panel off and whether it is just one switch or possibly the whole board that I will have to replace. Thanks!

Try spraying some lubricant into and around the button, keep pushing lightly, usually after 10 or so tries the button will pop back out.

Same thing just happened to my dryer. Thankfully, I followed Mr. Brown's instructions before calling a repairman. It worked!!

Dryer light stays on when door is shut nd wont run

check the door switch,i don't work on lg but on any other dryer if the wsitch is broke the dryer won't start and if the light is on the switch shuts off the light and dryer will start.if you send the model number i can look up the switch for you.open the door and look around the frame where the door closes into, there should be a push button switch or a little paddle that the door hits, when you push in on the switch it should make a clicking sound or i've seen the paddle broke off.hope this helps or if you removed any wires to the door switch you might of wired it wrong

HP deskjet 3054 broken power button

Hp's usually have a micro switch underneath the power button. You probably just broke a support arm or type device. You might be able to super glue the piece back together and make it work. In my experience, this usually works about 40 percent of the time. Usually by pushing to ******* the switch to break the plastic you could have possibly damaged the small micro switch. My best suggestion is take it apart and try the super glue fix first. Good Luck!!

DLE7177WM - Seems to work ok, but it is taking

Its going to be an issue with the wall vent of your house. The dryer is not venting the air at a good enough volume and that is why it is taking longer to dry. Sometime you may have to run a second cycle and I bet there is lint on your door gasket around the 6 o'clock positon.

The flex vent behind the dryer, the wall vent, and or the vent's outlet (roof or wall) outside the home needs to be cleaned to improve the air flow.

Good Luck.

LG DLE7177WM began making loud RuMbLiNg sound.

I have the same problem; pulled it apart and discovered the drum was cracked at the seam where it was welded. the noise occurs as it passes over the wheels the drum rests on. called LG's Cusomer Diservice and nobody was interested. found the same problems by others while searching myself so its clearly a manufacturing problem.

I have an lg dle7177wm dryer - i'm trying to get to the heating element to check for a circuit and am having trouble figuring out how to get the dryer apart

Try this approach.. with the dryer situated so that you can access the back of it.. look at where the top cover projects over the back..directly beneath that is 3 screws that when removed ,..should allow you to slide the top back and release it from the chassis.. Once that has been done, you should be able to remove the front panel ( after you undo the lint trap screws with the door open ).. You can tilt the front panel away from the cabinet to unhook the door switch.. than you should be able to lift the front panel assembly up and off the guides on the bottom.. Once it is set aside, you should have access to everything you need from the front.. Hope that helps...
