SOURCE: E4 error on new conia dishwasher

Had the same problem. First you will need to tilt dishwasher back 45 degrees and tip out all excess water. A couple of towels on the floor are a good idea.

Second check that the little nozzle on the elbow under your sink where your overflow attaches is drilled out.

This fixed my problem after fussing around for a day and I was starting to disconnect everything to take it back.

SOURCE: DISHWASHER- Model no: DW009

I experienced exactly the same problem with this Model. The handbook says code E4 is an overfill problem and in my case because the filter had become blocked, water had somehow found its way into the base of the washer (where all the electrical stuff is) and activated the anti-flood device. The solution is to simply get the water out of the base. Making sure the unit was switched off at the mains, I removed the wooden kick-board from under the kitchen units and the screws securing the washer to the units. I then lowered the 2 front height adjusting legs so that the washer was slightly tilted down at the front. There are 2 black plastic access covers at the bottom of the unit which can be gently prised out and then use a cloth/sponge, removed all the water that had collected in the base. This cured the problem without the hassle of removing the washer altogether.

My dishwasher says E4

Hi,

The error code E4 means selector switch pads is stuck.
First try a hard reset. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes and then switch on the dishwasher. Most cases you won't get the error message.
If you still get the error message then you need to take to service center to get it repaired. Mostly, the inner connectivity between the pad and circuit board is loose/bad.

Hope this helps.

I have a Candy dishwasher. Door is open switch on sounds like something (possibly pump) is running and error E4 shown on diaplay. Any ideas please?

Overflow tray (bottom dishwasher). Tilt your dishwasher, pour water and see the reason for the overflow. I blew off the top hose from the pump.

Idw604 error code e4

had same problem. Tilt dishwasher to the left and drain all the water (it will come out on the side). That's E4 solved. Now turn it on, E4 should not light up. If it does, turn it on and as soon as u do this, close the door. This won't activate the Trip Switch but will automatically turn the pump on. Good luck!

I have a kenwood KDW12SL3A. The Drain got blocked at the dishwasher end, and I have now unblocked and tested the drainage but have still got an E4 error come up. how do I reset this?

Just got one of those at weekend and had e4 code-looked up on here and gor tis solutionwhich sems to work!

To clear the fault you need to remove the two baskets from the dishwasher.

Slide it out from under the worktop and lean it forward to about 45 degrees.

If it is already full of water, turn on the power whilst pushing the programme button, this sets up a pump out program

Kenwood Slimline Dishwasher KDW8ST2A

I have a Kenwood Kdw8st2a and have been constantly plagued by the E4 overfill error.

Lifting the front of the dishwasher and tilting it backwards seemed to clear the E4 error only for it to come back after the next wash.

I found eventually that the connection to the U bend under the sink was too narrow and was almost blocked hence the dishwasher was not emptying properly.

I disconnected the dishwasher waste pipe and ran the waste into a bucket for about 6 cycles and it worked fine.

Eventually drilled through the kitchen wall and fitted a lower direct waste pipe to the drain. Overkill maybe buit it hasn't done an E4 since.
