Question about Hilti TE 70 Hammer Drill Performance Package
Unless you are very mechanically inclined I would take it in for repair. You can do most of it yourself but you will have a problem with the striker and the seals that go on it and then inserting it into the spindle. You can go to Hilti.com and download a breakdown for this tool which shows the parts listing and parts 75, 76 and 77 there is no easy way to work with these, I have done it but sometimes I tore the new seals just putting them on the striker. If you don't want to take it to Hilti (which I understand) I would check into another repair shop that repairs them, but if you want to try it yourself let me know and I will try and walk you thru it.

Testimonial: "Thank you. We have a mechanic who's also had some training in tool maintainence. Sorry to be a pain but would you talk me through it please? Thank you"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:

Without the brand and model number it is hard to say for sure, but you have a high voltage draw on the board somewhere. This is complicated to check and in many instances you need specialized equipment to check different components, not to mention the dangerously high voltages involved. You will need to be very familiar with soldering small joints on a circuit board once the problem component is found.
If you are not familiar with television circuits or have a friend that is that can be there to guide you I strongly advise you not to try to repair it yourself.
That being said, the cost of any kind of electronics repair on a television will probably be $500 or more. If the board itself has to be replaced, it is probably no longer available due to the age of it. Most boards are no longer available after about 5 years because the technology is increasing so fast.
My reccommendation with the information you gave is to replace the set.
Hope this helps.
