Question about MidiLand S4 8200 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

I own a Midiland 8200 sound system that relies on a 'G9' nine pin audio cable that's male on both ends. I need a new cable but I can't seem to find one anywhere. Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place. Can you help?

    Sods law! :P

Its a shame these companies use proprietary cables. - at the end of they day it is how they make good margins so who can blame them. :)

Do you sure that your monitor has inbuilt speakers? if yes means you can get the sound by connecting sound output of the Laptop to the sound input of the monitor generally you need a 3.5mm audio pin cable at both the ends i.e the cable have 3.5mm audio male pin at both the ends

Midiland 8200 (ADS 4000 controller) 5.1 hum problem

You may have an earth loop problem. This is caused by connect various equipment to different mains power outlets.
Connect all the PCs, audio and speakers to a single mains power outlet, use a power board so they are connected to the one mains power outlet.
I suggest you use a power board that has a built-in surge protection.

Where can I purchase the cable to connect my dvd player to my tv..I need the one that has a pin on one end and a white/yellow on the other

Hello hyegee -- You could probably get one directly from the manufacturer at a way over the top price. The cheapest and easiest thing to do is to get two generic cables at any store that carries electronic accessories.

For audio you need a stereo 3.5 mm male to stereo RCA jacks male cable. For video you need a simple 3.5 mm video male to RCA jack male video.

Here is the graphic from the user manual. Yours new cables would hook up the same but just be two instead of one cable:

How do I connect my Logitech music system to the TV. What connection and plugs is required? Kindly advise.

If your music system is only audio, then you need two RCA type audio cables pair for left& right audio channels(male pin jacks).Connect them at Music system audio output with left & right channels accordingly while on yr TV,connect the other ends to the audio Input jacks(female type). If there is a video out also from your music system then add the yellow video cable as well in the same way.

Bought an hdmi to dvi cable. Now I have no sound. I'm not. Sure what audio cable I need. I have an idea of what it should look like but no one has anything close to it.

The audio cable will depend on the source and the TV. If you are using a computer as the source, you probably need a 3.5 mm male/male end stereo audio cable (like for computer speakers that aren't directly wired). Plug this in to the computer's speaker (out) jack and the TV's audio in (not the headphone jack on the TV). The other possible cable would be an RCA audio cable with two colored jacks on each end of the cable. For a computer to a TV that doesn't have a 3.5 male audio in jack, you may need an audio cable with the 3.5 mm jack on one end and the pair of RCA jacks on the other.

I hope this helps.

Old 6Ch Audio output speaker sys. Cant connect it to my new lcd

I don't understand. Standard RCA cables are Male at both ends, in/outputs on standard devices are always Female. What's the problemo? One pair is all that is needed.

I was told I can hook up my computer monitor to my Sharp 40 inch

Your video adapter will only supply video input from your computer to your television. You must use an audio cable from the audio out of your computer (that would be the jack that you would normally plug your computer speakers into) to the audio input jack of your television shown below.

To do this, you will need a double male 1/8" stereo sable audio cable seen below.

One end plugs into your computer audio out and the other end into the audio jack shown in the illustration. You will then get your computer audio through your television speakers. You will be able to control the sound both with the television audio and the computer audio settings.

Get a cable two male ends. Look for the female end on your screen. Put one male end into the port on on your screen and the other end into the port "AUDIO ONE" on your computer.

Try this it should work. The Multi-PIN cable is only for VIDEO, you need another cable for AUDIO.
