Question about Washing Machines
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
For most Hotpoint (and other named) models 'F08' means 'heater relay (possibly) stuck'. 'Check power supply connections to the heater, wiring and module (i.e. PCB) connections' (apparently poor PCB connections are often the cause)
So- if you are not electrically confident and competent yourself, which you may be, you need to employ the skills of a partner, friend or service engineer ;-0)
Sorry we cannot be of more help!
Good luck, John C

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
