Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

For most Hotpoint (and other named) models 'F08' means 'heater relay (possibly) stuck'. 'Check power supply connections to the heater, wiring and module (i.e. PCB) connections' (apparently poor PCB connections are often the cause)

So- if you are not electrically confident and competent yourself, which you may be, you need to employ the skills of a partner, friend or service engineer ;-0)

Sorry we cannot be of more help!

Good luck, John C

Hi I have a hotpoint wf630 washing machine and it keeps flashing error codes f08. Could you tell me what this codes means. many thanks, Stuart

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Most Hotpoint, Ariston and Indesit (who make the other two) use similar fault codes. Although I cannot confirm it on your particular machine, f08 means there is a problem with the heater/its relay/its control. Often a cure is to re-seat the cables/wiring to and from these items.
REMOVE POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANYTHING OF COURSE.
Good luck,

John C

My Hotpoint Aquarious+ WD640 is leaking and has error code F-08 on the display. Should I panic?! If not, what's the alternative?!

Hi, I think F08 is a heater problem or a problem with the relay on the PCB.

Check connections to the heater element and even check around the element for leaks it could be linked!

if the cables are ok check for continuity across the element, if there is no reading then its likely the element needs replacing.

if the element and cables are good then it's likely the control board will need replacing.

If you cant check these things for yourself then consult qualified service personel and get a free quote.

Someone else here maybe able to suggest a better solution so please keep looking.

Hope I have been able to help.

Hi, Error code F-08 is flashing on the display.

F08: Heater control or NTC (Thermistor) temperature sensor problem. hope this helps. also turning off at plug for 5 mins then turning back on might solve it if does not then it is the sensor problem. best thing to call engineer or get new machine if dose not work. hope this helps.

Machine is showing F-08 and has stopped

Error code F08 means that the heater relay can not be activated, check the following.

1-check all connections to module.
2-check the connections to the heater.
3- check the connections to the pressure switch. It is usually one of these components that is causing the error..
Hope this helps.
