After about a year after installation our mira thermo shower has started to run cold after about half a minute or so. The same thing happenned to a previous cheaper type of shower which is why we replaced it with the mira. The mains pressure is pretty much the usual for residential properties so I wouldn't have thought that using water in the rest of the house would be a problem, also it appears to happen when nothing else is being used.

Sounds like it might be a air bubble in the waer pipes, try removing the shower head and run the hot and cold water together for a minute, then remember to FIRST TURN OFF THE HOT WATER then turn off the cold water and replace the shower head and test as normal.

You need a new cartridge for the shower located behind the handle.

There should be a hot water limiter behind the knob on the shower - shingle handle, undo the handle and move the adjustment to allow more hot water. Not familiar with mira discovery mixer

I would suggest you google the Mira Zest and download the manual in PDFformat. From broosing it, it sounds like you had the temperature set too high, and that burnt out the element. But check the manual yourself and see if you agree.

But the Mira Zest is very susceptible to water pressure, so you might want to check into that also.

you mixing valve may be going bad,do you have hard water? you may just need too take it apart and clean it

This sounds like the elements or you just may need to turn the heat up. If it under two years old call the manu on the warranty. They make a good product so they should help you. I would check the heat setting first, though I doubt it is going to be the prob.

If you are having trouble only at the one fixture (shower), and no where else, the problem is most likely in the shower valve...which either needs new cartridges, or a complete replacement.

hi there, your boiler will perfectly match the mira excel ( a great choice i might add) a 24cdi will give about 9.8 litres a minute flow rate hot water.
The mira excel is suitable for any plumbing set up and there installation instruction are very well laid out & their helpline is fantastic.
The hot water will fluctuate accordingly to the time of year as the cold water temp coming into the property will vary. but the boiler will modulate to compensate.So in brief in the summer you will notice it hotter than you would in the winter, this has nothing to do with the boiler just the incoming temp of the cold water.
