My Denon AVR 1610 has no display. Power comes on but nothing else. I have tried reset but does not help

First off, you will need to listen carefully at the top of the receiver. With the unit unit off, as you push the power button, you should an immediate click. Within 5-20 seconds, you should hear another. If you hear the second click, the amplifier is probably not damaged. In that case, you have a display microprocessor IC(computer within your receiver) bad, of some voltage to the IC is missing. If you require more information, or would like to inquire about having it repaired, please visit my website ay audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact there. Thank you.

Could be a power related problem or you may have speakers connected that have an impedance less than recommended

Denon avr-1603 switches itself off

HI,
Fist of all you have to disconnect all the speakers From AVR. Then switch ON the AVR . If its working normally then any of the speaker or any of the wire to the speaker is faulty. If so connect the speaker back one by one and check on which speaker connection does the AVR shuts off. That speaker or the wire to the speaker is faulty.

If the AVR is not functioning properly even after removing the speakers(shuts off) then there is internal fault with the amplifiers stage. Normally Dry soldering on the amplifier circuit board or any of the output stage is faulty. To rectify the same need professional support.

Denon avr 1909 powers off after just a few seconds

Check to make sure no speaker wires are shorted or shorting and if those are okay, chcek the capacitors in the power supply section- there are likely a couple needing replacement. If none show outward sings of failure such as bulgin, just recap the power supply section with new caps- make sure they are high ripple current types.

I was given a Denon AVC 3020 amp that was connected to a Denon AVR 1082 receiving. The receiver is working fine but I can't seem to reconnect the amp back nor can I use the amp independently from the...

So you want to slave the 3020 to the 1082, right? Use the Pre-outs on the AVR to feed the amp. I imagine the AVR manual, which I cannot find, talks about that.

I have an AVR 988 system that will only shut down manually. I have shut down the system, changed batteries in my remote. Neither solved the problem. Any ideas?

Its a common problem with this Denon model series 1508,1708,988 the trouble lies with the power supply voltage going low. Usually its either the 15 or -15 volt that goes low. If either voltage goes low it will trigger the protection circuit hence the unit will shut down.
