Delete the current driver for the printer and reinstall the driver or go to the correct website for your printer and find the latest and greatest driver for your particular model and download it, sounds like something is corrupt... Hope this helps...

My Xerox 8400 is printing the wrong colors. Where it's red, it's printing a brown shade and where it should be grey, it's printing green. My logo is grey and red and it's printing all grey, but not the...

Try printing a light stripes test page (Troubleshooting, print quality problems, troubleshooting print quality page).

If you do not appear to have many missing jets but the colours are all just wrong it may be that the ink has gone stale. Run a couple of head cleans and you should see the colours start to improve. If it is getting better, all you can do is keep running head cleans until you have replenished all the ink in the printhead well.

This problem is common in situations where a lot of black and white printing is done, with very little colour.
Alternatively, it could be that your wiper/cleaning blade is not cleaning the head properly and is smearing the different coloured inks across the head, or possibly that your printhead is leaking colours but I think the first solution should solve your problem.
Hope this helps.

When I replaced the print cartiges and try to print, I get an error message saying that the cartriges were not installed properly. I believe they are. What am I doing wrong?

Open the printer's lid.
Remove the cartridges.
Cut the AC-power to the printer.
Plug it back in.
Insert the "black" cartridge into the "black" carrier.
Insert the "colour" cartridge into the "colour" carrier.
Be sure that each cartridge "clicks" into place.

Colors are not printing the acutal color

It all depends on the meaning of 'not properly'.

Try creating a document with four different squares, or words, of these colours: yellow, magenta, cyan and black. If all of them print (albeit not with the correct shades) it is probably an ICM driver error. But my guess is that only one of those four colors will print badly, due to a defective color cartridge.
The OKI 5150 makes all perceivable colours using cyan, magenta, yellow and black toners, so if one of these malfunctions, the resulting colors will lack the required shade of, say, yellow, and will appear to be "wrong". The yellow colour itself, of course, would simply disappear (the "yellow" you use might actually be 95% yellow and 5% cyan; then the "yellow" square will be printed as a very light shade of cyan, while the other colors - say, 95% magenta and 5% yellow - will turn out almost exact).

Try with the color test and replace any failing cartridge; if all four (almost) pure colours do print incorrectly, it's unlikely to be a cartridge problem, and we'll have to dig deeper.

I changed the black and colour print cartridges in my MP210 and the colour printing is all the wrong colours

Reinstall your printer driver software and do a test print before. If the test print prints fine then you probably have an issue on your main motherboard.

Epson stylus cx3200 all in one ink jet

You cannot seem to print properly. You can try and do the head cleaning.

For windows
just click on start / settings / printers & faxes
Check on the example below:
Right click on the printer icon then left click on printing preferences

Go to maintenance and click on head cleaning

After the head cleaning press on print nozzle check pattern. Check the patterns and see if there is gaps or breaks on it like this example:

8dee7bf.jpg
Note: If there is gaps or breaks it explains why you cannot print properly because inks are not distributed correclty. If there is no gaps or breaks it means the printout will be fine.

For Mac users

Then click on confirmation then press Next. It will print on the nozzle check pattern.
