Question about Cobra Sport & Outdoor - Others
The cayse may be related to an internal bearing that failed, causing the shafts and gears not to align, which then placed stress on the internal components. I'll be very honest, even if you did replace the tail shaft, the bearings and shims will need to be replaced also. You will need a dial indicator to measure the end shaft play and be exact on all tolernances when re-assembling. This procedure is not done without special tools and expertise. At this point, it is better to purchase a complete unit that is assembled by a Professional Tech to factory specs, otherwise it will just break apart again.
