I need help fixing my home network. One of my family members decided to try and daisy chain two routers together and now I can't get them to work again through the 5 port switch. Each router will work...

You should hook one router to the modem through it's WAN port
Then attach the switch to the router
You can then attach the 2nd router to the switch if you want to use it as another switch
It will not work attaching the switch to the modem first

1. Attach your modem to the WAN port on the router
2. Attach your computer to a copper wired connection on the router.
3. On your computer open the web browser and type
4. If you have never logged in before the default password is probably admin or password. The user is admin.
5. Setup your connection settings on the general tab
6. Make sure that all your devices can see the wireless device unsecured
7. Then setup a WEP pass-phrase in the wireless configuration tab
8. This will generate 3 or 4 keys, use them to attach to your router wireless and securely.

I've lost internet and was told that I need to refresh my router. How do I do that?

Sometimes your internet connection through your router fails for some reason or another, and you'll have to restart it. The simplest way to do that is just to unplug the router and plug it back in. If you still don't have a connection after that, unplug your modem, unplug the router, turn your computer off, turn your modem back on, turn the router back on and restart your computer. Just disable the wireless security on your 2wire and change the channel to 11. Then power cycle all your devices including the wireless printer.

Unplugged Power and Now Unable to get a connection with router

Make sure that the Ethernet Cabel is plugged into the computer and attached to the router. make sure another ethernet cabel is attached from port 1 of the router to the Modem. Hope this works.
