Rear speakers on vsx1122 not playing, they tested okay

Manually change your surround settings for your satellite box input. Your box may not be putting out a signal that the receiver auto-detects as a surround sound signal, thus it just plays in stereo.

Pioneer sx-255r can i connect 6 - 8 ohms

Yes, you can use them but be careful. These are not necessarily robust speakers. If they sound strained, back off.

We bought a sound system and did not get instructions on how to set it up so we need to know how to plug in our yamaha c112v speakers adn yamaha monitors to our yamaha mg24 mixer please help!!!!

If all you have is monitors, speakers and the mixer, you are missing a vital component as you have no amplifiers.
You'll need at the very least one amplifier for the c112v's and another one for the monitors (chances are your monitors aren't 350W, so you don't want to drive them off the main amp, plus you need them controlled separately from the mixer). If you are intending to run sub-woofers as well, you will need an even beefier amplifier than the main amp for those.
You didn't mention the handling capacity of the monitors, but I recommend about a 300W per channel amp with 350W speakers - that way if you run the amp into clipping, it won't shred your speakers.

Hello,I'm trying to conect 4 speakers(Bose 161,4-8ohms,50w each) and 2 speakers (JBL cf100(3way speakers),8ohms,100w each) to rceiver Pioneer VSX-455, I want to conect all of them at the same time.please I...

Well if you look on the back it plainly says speakers should be between 8-16 ohms.

It has facilities for 2 pairs of fronts (A and B) which could be run concurrently if they met the >8-ohm spec.

The JBL's would work best as primary front speakers.

If you wired the Bose in series with each other, they'd work as one surround speaker 'pair' electrically, maybe even sonically if you arrange them across the sides and/or rear. I'd experiment.

You'll need a separate amp for any center or sub speakers.

Looking to connect 4 speakers to the surround back

Series the speakers, they may not get as much power as you would like, but your receiver will last longer.

Run 4 ohm on yami 1600

The manual says...

"If you are to use 6 ohm speakers, be sure to set the "SP IMP" to "6 ohm Min" before using this unit (see page 30). 4 ohm speakers can be used as the front speakers (see page 118)." ... which basically says the same thing in a table.

Set it for 6 ohms and try ity out. If it exhibits any problems like the amp cutting off you might want to lower the volume or analyze it to see if the 4 ohm guys are the problem.

BTW: That spec is just a nominal value. At various frequencies every speaker's impedance changes. The proof is in the pudding. The Yami won't self destruct unless you crank it to the stops and ignore the audible warnings of stress.
