See the codes on the cables and try to match them on the motherboard. On the motheboard you have:
10 positions in two blocks of 5. These blocks are numbered 1,3,5,7,9 and 2,4,6,8,10. Each of these positions has a pin on it except for position 8 which is empty. Remove the jumpers if you are connecting front panel audio. Then your cables must connect like this:

  1. MIC IN goes to PIN1 which is MIC2_L on mobo
  2. GND goes to PIN2 which is AGND on mobo
  3. MIC PWR (or VCC) goes to PIN3 which is MIC2_R
  4. SPKOUT R goes to PIN5 which is LIN2_R
  5. SPKOUT L goes to PIN9 which is LIN2_L
  6. RETURN (REAR/EAR) R goes to PIN6 which is MIC_JD
  7. RETURN (REAR/EAR) L goes to PIN10 which is LIN_JD
You will not use PIN 4, 7 and 8.
Hope that will work for you.

I use intel945gcnl mother board.how i join front panel audio in and out.front panel usb connected but audio how. please explore with a diagram........sorry for my bad english

Inside your computer, look for the cables that are attached to the front panel audio and front panel usb, on the end of both cables you will see a rectangle plug, on your motherboard you will see ports that are designed exactly for the two plugs I have mentioned, at this point you plug them into the relevant ports. It is worth noting that these plugs are slightly different from eachother, thereby preventing you from plugging them in to the incorrect sockets.

If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate in asking,

Not work audio front panel. What`s the problems. How to connect cables in motherboard. please help

The front audio panel will only work if connected to motherboard. Try
connecting to the audio panel in the back of the computer (directly
to the motherboard). If the rear panel audio plug (green) doesn't work
then the audio drivers that came with the motherboard might need to
be installed. Check your audio driver status with operating system.

How to connect front audio panel in a asus p5p800-mx mobo

Hello there.
I understand that you need to connect the front audio panel to the motherboard.

The user manual which came with your Computer will have the steps and illustrations to connect the front audio panel to the motherboard. If you have the manual that came with your Computer please refer to that.

If you could not find the manual you can download that from ASUS website. The below link will direct you to the download manual page.

Problem with microphone

most of the old motherboards dont support the audio and mic port to work both in back side(back panel header) and front side (front panel header)simultaneously...

most of the old motherboards dont support multi streaming so you cant make both the back panel header and front panel header to work at a time ie i mean you cant connect both panel header at a time ...

you can just refer to your motherboard manual for the detailed information about it ..

in your motherboard if there is any option to connect the front panel header to the motherboard other than the back panel header you can connect it to that the detailed pin information will be given in the motherboard manual ..

if you dont have the option in the motherboard to connect the front panel header seperately then you must remove the pins connected from the back panel header and you must insert the front panel header pins .
this will disable your back panel audio ,mic, linein functionalities but you will be able to connect in front panel header , this front panel header will work ..

if the motherboard is not compatible then the system assembler will leave the front panel wires not connecting to motherboard ..

like this only one panel can work at a time ,
but in the latest motherboards the multi streaming technology has been introduced so both the panels can work at a time and can play different audio on 2 different panels ...

thank you
bye
any doubts you can reply me
i am always here to assist you
please rate my solution
have a nice day
