Try another web browser. You are using Internet Explorer I bet.
Try some of these.

http://www.google.com/chrome
If these do not work, then it may be a virus, so check for viruses.
This is all I can say for now. But I am pretty sure this is a browser problem.
WAIT. First, before you get a new browser, go to www.facebook.com, and hold ctrl and press F5. This will clear the cache and reload the page. If this does not work, THEN try a different browser.
Make sure you are using the latest version of your web browser.
Try turning off any addons/extensions you have on.
Run a check or two for malware. If you don't have any anti-malware software try Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. They're both free.
You could also try using a different browser like Google Chrome.
