The only thing i can think of is for you to check the back of the drive and make sure the power cable is plugged in all the way (or at all). It's usually a white 4 pin connector.
If the drive is getting power, it should eject the tray. If not, then it's an internal problem with the drive, like a bad motor, or gear.
