You can download the current version of all (free) Nikon software from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

You can download a RAW codec for Windows from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13869

You might want to consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

I bought Adobe Photoshop elements 7 many years ago. Don’t have the seriel number anymore. Laptop was updated so all photoshop photos now on external hard drive but I can’t access them. Is there any way to...

If you registered the software with Adobe, it can be found using their web site.

If you did not register it on the Adobe web site, it is possible you may find it with Belarc advisor, but that may not work due to your updating of the laptop.

Would like to trim music to fit slides and add naration

Hello, Wren

SlideShow Expressions is a very basic programme: simplicity is the key. It is designed to give instant results. Therefore, the things you can do with the photo's, music, etc. are very limited. No frills, no complicated editing. For example: no fading in or out of music; no cutting a music track down to a certain length, etc. Also, the programme doesn't allow you to have a different time setting for every photo. Whatever duration time you select (say 9 seconds), it goes for each photo.
As a result you would typically go about adding your music tracks as follows:
After you have added all the photo's that would make up the whole slideshow, make a rough estimate of how long each photo should be displayed on the screen. Type this number in the open slot (for seconds). You can now get an idea of how long the entire slideshow will be: the duration will be showed at the bottom. Now, choose tracks that, together, will just about (more or less) account for the whole length of the slideshow. When you've added them one by one, click on the option to fit the slideshow to the soundtrack. Obviously this could change the amount of seconds that each photo will be displayed. That's about it. Play around with tracks of different lenghts and see what the time duration would be if you were to fit the slideshow to this altered track length.
Be careful about the music you use. This programme (as would many others) may develop problems when using downloaded music, because this music is usually protected in some way (for example, tracks downloeded from iTunes are known to cause problems: they may not play or sound bad).
Also, it is always good to read the User Guide. If you have a legitimate copy of the programme, the User Guide will be included on the install disc in pdf format. You can look for it by exploring the install disc or by simply clicking on the relevant link after you've inserted the install disc.

I hope this was helpful. Best of luck to you. From: 11407336.

Memory card formatted but data not deleted

Try not using Quick format. Format doesn't delete data it just removes the index from the filing system so you don't see it and the computer can write on top. Google "delete data free program" on WWW and download a proper programme that deletes the contents of the card and then try formatting - you'll get better results.
GOOD LUCK

I had the same problem but i solved it.
Follow the folliwing steps.
1- Download firmware nwz-b133f (firmware nwz-b130 V-1.01)
2- Download firmware nwz-b103 (firmware nwz-b100 V-1.3)
3- First execute firmware nwz-b100 , connect your walkman when the programm

you will loose all the data , click accept.
4- Don´t disconnect your device , wait until format and dataload are finished.
This is necesary because firmware nwz-b130 doesn´t do the format.
5- Disconnect your walkman and you will see it doesn´t start (logical it ain´t his
firmware)
6- Now execute firmware nwz-b130 , connect your walkman when the programm

I download free movies to hard drive, than I burn them, and my dvd player says no playback available or a big red x shows on tv screen, what am I doing wrong/

You probably have burnt the dvd disc using a video format that is not compatible with your player.
A lot of DVD players will not play .AVI or DIVx files that are commonly downloaded.
Your DVD player manual should list the formats it will play.
Convert downloaded movies to a compatible format before burning to disc.
There are several conversion programmes available via the web - at a cost of approx $50.00.
AVS4U works ok.

Format Error in Sony Cybershot

i think this problem arises when you fail to regularly format the card ie. take lots of pictures and delete some and repeat the process over and over instead of downloading every session and formatting the card causing coruption. Also if you've bought pro duo memory stick off ebay poss. its a very good forgery (again i've been caught out by this).
