Just to let you know, you posted a question about your computer in the "barcode scanners" section.
I would start by removing all power to the computer, and opening the case to check the connections going to the back of the CD drive. Unplug and re-plug everything to ensure proper connectivity. If the computer still doesn't see it after this, explore the possibility of a virus/malware or a program causing conflicting interactions with Windows' ability to see the drive. Run scans from good (and free!) anti-virus/anti-malware programs like Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes, then reboot. If there are still problems after this, then read this article and see if it helps. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/dvd-drive-doesnt-show-up-anymore/d44cf66d-7752-486f-889d-197fa0de4076. If it still doesn't work, then your dvd drive has most likely died. Not to fear though, these drives are cheap. $15-$20 for a desktop one and around ~$30 or so for a laptop drive.
Good luck.

I have a Dell 2400 Desktop that all of a sudden won't access the login screen. It powers on then the hard drive makes noise with the green lights blinking but it then says press F1 to continue but

First thing, check to see if the is a floppy disk in the floppy drive, if so removes this disk. If there was no disk in the floppy drive then it may be a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case and re-seat the data cable on the hard drive and also where it connects to the motherboard disk controller.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this hard drive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.

To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computer and then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's device drivers and your programs.

Suddenly, my 500GB Seagate external hard drive couldn't mount on my iMac. It was working fine till yesterday. I connected them to the Mac USD port, and the light in the seagate is blinking... Any

I can only comment generically:

I would try to uninstall the drive on the OS. Then re-start the computer. After the re-start, connect the drive and see if the drive re-installs itself.

If the error persists, then the drive is indicating failure. To absolutely verify if it has failed, take the drive to a store where there are MAC computers and try the drive on one of their computers to see if it works.

A continuous flashing LED on most devices where the LED does not normally continuously flash is an indication of a failure of the device. Some devices will flash an error code when designed to do so, and if possible.

Sony drx820 suddenly not recognized by computer

Does the tray open for you? Re-boot the computer and go into the BIOS and see if it is listed by the BIOS. Did you accidentally remove the hardware? Go into the control panel and add new hardware and see if it detects the drive and re-installs it. Otherwise the drive might have stopped working.
