Restart the computer in safe mode (procedure is given below)
Start the computer and keep tapping the F8 Key on top of the keyboard
You will be in advanced options menu,
use your up and down arrow keys on the keyboard and choose safe mode and hit enter.
In safe mode close if any window opens. You did not specify the windows version hence i am giving you generic steps, if you do not find a sub step, then please reply to this post.
Click on start - Click on all programs - click on accessories - click on system tools and then click on system restore (this will be used to restore your computer to a previous working setting (you will not loose any data with this). choose a date (couple of days back) when you are sure your computer was working fine and then follow the onscreen instructions. If this procedure is successful then your computer's settings will be reverted to previous settings and all your apps should start working fine.
