First of all take the battery out.
Then buy a bottle of rubbing alcohol from your local wal-mart or drug store. The higher the alcohol percentage the better.
With the battery removed and the phone unplugged take the phone apart as much as is safely possible. The more stuff exposed, the better.
Now pour the rubbing alcohol over the phone enough to 'push' out any remaining water from the toilet.
Finally leave your phone in a well-aired place to dry overnight.
Next day put the battery back and give it a shot - if you're lucky your phone should be fine.

The alcohol pushes out water (which is obviously quite bad for the cell phone). Then the alcohol itself easily evaporates, leaving the phone dry.

The first step you should take is to remove the battery, and put it in a warm, dry place for an extended period of time (I'd recommend a minimum of 3-4 days). Odds are your phone will be fine, but the battery will likely have suffered from a deep-discharge and will need to be replaced. You may get residual water marks and mineral deposits which will be visible on the screen.

You should have left it dry instead of turning it on, you probably have corrosion now, find a local place that works on phones to see if they'd work on it.

If you want to try to completely dry it, put it in rice for 24 hours minimum to draw out all moisture.

take your sim card out and any memory chips. These can usually be salvaged. You might get lucky with the phone, but most likely, even taking it apart and letting it dry, it won't work correctly.

See if it will turn on when you remove battery and plug it into your charger. If it will you could recover the numbers with the Motorola software or the Carrier could.

Hi, You can purchase a spray called electric cleaner that cleans small electric components and dries very quickly. But you will have to open the phone and spray on the small circuit board inside. If it still doesn't come up after that then it might possibly be dead. Sorry and good luck Lolita
