Enable Third Party Cookies

As per your internet settings, if the third party cookies are disabled, then Facebook crash occurs. For example, while loading a Facebook game. Enable the third party cookies as per the steps given below:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click Tools ' Internet Options.
  3. Click Privacy tab.

  5. Mark the check box named Override automatic cookies handling.
  6. Make sure that the first and third cookies are allowed from the corresponding options.
  7. Click OK ' OK.

Automatically Detect LAN Settings

Set the Internet Explorer options so that the Local Area Network (LAN) settings are automatically detected. Many times, this option is already checked; but if it is not, you may experience Facebook crash.

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools ' Internet Options.
  2. Click Connections tab.
  3. Click LAN Settings button.
  4. Mark the box Automatically detect settings is checked-up.Click OK ' OK.

Delete Browser Cookies and Web Cache

If you have multiple Facebook accounts on a same machine, this step is must. Your browser stores many type of information, such as, cookies and cache files, etc. Any of these files are corrupted that cause Facebook crash. To perform this task, you can take help of a System Cleaner application for best results. Otherwise, do below steps:

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools ' Delete Browsing History.
  2. Click the Delete button to confirm your action.

Fix Browser Registry Entries

Incorrect, broken and invalid registry entries cause your browser to crash and thereby Facebook crashes. By solving these broken registry entries, you can repair the problem.

  1. Download a Registry Cleaner software.
  2. Click Start Scan button.
  3. Click Fix Now button.
  4. Restart your web browser after the operation is performed.

Reinstall Adobe Flash Player

Adobe Flash Player is installed to play the games available on Facebook and so on. Issues with the Flash Player installation cause conflicts in your web browser and Flash Player ActiveX components. In such a case, you need to repair the Flash Player installation for fixing Facebook crash. The reinstallation steps are discussed below:

  1. Click Start' Control Panel.
  2. Click Programs ' Uninstall a Program.
  3. Select Adobe Flash Player from the list of installed programs.
  4. Click Uninstall button.
  5. Follow the wizard.
  6. Download a fresh Adobe Flash Player setup and install it on your computer.

Disable Add-Ons

Some third party add-ons might cause Facebook crash while you were on Facebook. Disabling all the third party add-ons will solve the problem.

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools ' Manage Add-Ons.
  2. Select a third party add-on and click Disable button.

Reset Internet Explorer

Resetting Internet Explorer will ensure only the supported features are enabled. Often enabling unsupported Internet Explorer features causes your Facebook to crash.

  1. In Internet Explorer, click Tools ' Internet Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Click Reset button.
  4. Confirm the action, if prompted.

Make sure you're using the latest version of your web browser. Try turning off any ad blocking or noscripting addons or extensions you may have on. Try using a different browser like Google's Chrome which has good support for modern web pages. This will at least tell you if its a problem with your browser or computer/network. If you're on a school or work network facebook might be blocked.

I remember this happened to me awhile back. I can't remember EXACTLY what I did to fix it, but I remember it ended up being trivial. Have you tried opening your Facebook in a different browser?

My computer is not letting me go to facebook.com whats the problem

check your firewall settings
I've seen other messags like mine, but I haven't been able to solve this problem...
I have a desktop Emachines computer, and I'm using Windows XP.
Yesterday, I was using Facebook, and it was working fine. I was checking messages on one page, and playing the "Pirates" app in another window... and it all just stopped working. So I exited everything, and tried to sign back in, but when I did, the home page wouldn't load. It sort of comes up. It says Facebook, and it has the links at the top that say "profile, friends, inbox," and it has the little notification thing at the bottom... The little red bubble says I have 5 notifications, but when I click it nothing happens. I CAN however, click the "profile" link and go to my profile wall. I can see everything there, but none of the links work. I can't remove posts or anything.
I signed onto my husband's facebook, and then my sister's, and the same exact problem happened. Home page won't load, links don't work.
Everything else on the internet is working fine. Yahoo, Aol, Myspace, Google... it's all working perfectly.
I have emptied my cookies, cache, temporary folders. I have restarted the computer. I have allowed add ons and pop ups. I have made sure Facebook is a "Trusted Site." I have run Avast virus scan and Malwarebytes' Anti Malware scan. They detected no problems. Following a suggestion on this site, I downloaded Opera at www.opera.com. No results. I emailed Facebook. No answer. I called my ISP. Their answer: Server must be down. The server is not down. My sister down the road is on Facebook right now. My firewall is not blocking Facebook.
I think it may be a virus, because all of the icons on my desktop all suddenly have blue backgrounds for no reason... but Avast and Malwarebytes are finding nothing, there's nothing suspicious in my list of programs... However, if I did pick up a virus, it came from Facebook, because I'd been mostly offline for a long time, except to check my Facebook messages and play the facebook apps.
If anyone can tell me how to fix this, I will really appreciate it. I've wasted 2 hours today changing settings and downloading "fixes" that do nothing.

Cannot log out of Facebook

The solution I found is simple...
1) Go to the "Tools" option in InternetExplorer
2) Then go to "Internet Options"
3) Select the "Delete" option in the browsing history section.
4) Menu will appear, simply UNTICK THE FIRST BOX! which states "Preseve favourites website data".
This will remove the facebook cookie and stuff so when you log out of hotmail you will not see that message about not being able to log out of facebook anymore =]

Hope this helps It really should!

Facebook mobile login not working...

I am now able to login to Facebook with my mobile.
I select the HTTP login at the bottom of the screen and then I had to re-enter my login info and I was able to get to my home page.
The only thing I did was on my java settings I selected the media profile...not sure if that was the reason why it wasn't working but it is working now! If you do get on, Book mark your homepage and then you shouldn't have any problems getting back to it in the future! Hope this helps!
