Question about Car Alarm Remote Starter Keyless Entry Install Cd

Open Question

I have a 2000 Honda S2000. I bought it used and it came with an aftermarket alarm. It kept eating up my battery so I had the dealship take it out and replace my battery. The dead battery problem is gone for good, but I'm still without an alarm. They told me that they had problem while trying to sync my old remote transmitter to the car once the aftermarket alarm was gone, and they wanted more time and money to troubleshoot. At this point I decided to leave and just get an OEM security system later on. So I recently boubht a set of OEM security system. It turns out I have all that already installed in my car. Well since it doesn't work, I decided to just replace all the stuff with the new parts I got in the security package. I replaced everything from wire to connectors. But when I'm done, I still can't sync the new transmitters to the new alarm. I'm lost, I don't know what to do next.

What kind of alarm and model is it?
Did you follow the instructions that came with the alarm exactly?

It's the OEM security system for my model year, made by honda. I followed every step, and checked over everything. Maybe my keyless control unit fuse is blown, I'm gonna try the fuse tomorrow.

    Problem update.

Turns out one of my fuse for the keyless door lock control unit is out. I grabbed another 15amp fuse and one of the remote start doing things.

But then the next problem came.

During programing I noticed at the end of the procedure only my right door lock cycle, and it continues to cycle none stop. My left door makes no sound at all and does not cycle the lock. After the programming, the right door continues to cycle as if out of control unless I manually lock my left door. At which point everything stops and never works again. I pull the fuse out and it's blown. I tried the 20amp fuse, and it does the same thing just that the fuse is ok. There was this one time I had one of the remote programmed and when I press lock the horn sounds and stuff, but right door continues to cycle to unlock. I did notice however that my dome light was on once the program ends indicating that one of the door is open, since the right door cycles I'm guessing my left door has problem recognizing itself as being closed. Any idea what I should do next?

Remove the ignition switch and get to the bottom of the switch. There will be two letters and two numbers if I recall correctly. The dealer can get you a new key by referencing the numbers.

How can i stop the alram every time i plug in the battery off a honda accord 2000 if the alarm is not manufactured by honda

Follow the alarm speaker (Horn sounding off) wiring. It will most likely go underneath the dash. Remove the box for the aftermarket alarm and all its wiring. (Not car manufacture harness) make sure to take it all out as certain models can leave vehicle unable to start if only partial removed.

2007 Honda S2000 I have changed the oil and installed the recommended Fram filter which is significantly smaller than the Honda filter. Problem with that? Also I have searched for the dip stick but cannot...

It is not a unsual for owners to use non oem parts for common service items. The fram filters, as long as it is listed as compatible with the ap2 (2007) s2000 will not be a problem.

Generally however, most owners will rely on oem for many of the common parts, while it is generally the various oils and lubricants in which we are more likely to use an aftermarket brand.

Here is the Honda brand filter

Honda Part# 15400-PCX-004. This is the oil filter specifically for the S2000.

here is a good website to look at in the future, it is where just about all s2k owners do their maintenance shopping.

The dipstick is fairly easy to locate, when facing the engine it is a small black rectangle on the drivers side of the engine block at the near corner.

Always check your oil after the engine has has a chance to cool completely and is parked on level groud.

FYI the difference in oil between the lowest line on the dipstick and the high line of the dipstick is appox 1 quart of oil.

Finally you should always remember to replace the oil drain plug washer with a new one every time you change the oil as it is a one time use part. THey are available at the website I listed above.
Hope this helps.
