Hi my classique dish washer won't open,it is full with dishes ,how can i get in.thanks

f your Dishwasher is stuck in a cycle check the following

Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle. see the diagram attached.God bless you

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace timer/electronic control board.

All my lights on the front of the dishwasher are blinking at me & stops running after 3 minutes into the cycle. What is the cause of this & of course, I am two months past my warranty. Help.

If three lights are blinking (normal, heavy, quick)... I just had this same problem, and I think I figured it out. There was water on the bottom from the last cycle, so I pressed HEAVY and DELICATE at the same time for 3 seconds (you'll see it printed on the control panel), and the unit drained. I was then able to start the new cycle normally without the error. Hope that helps!

Regular cycle no longer cleans well

Thanks for the clarification (we get a lot of people on here that don't know how to really use a dishwasher).

Sounds to me like the DW may need a through going over.

Confirm the make and model of the DW so I can see how it's built. I am suspect that with all the food particles and film you mention, that the spray heads are clogged in the spray bars, and, check that the drain hose is not kinked, and it's attachment into the garbage disposal is clear. I've had these clog before, limiting the ability of the DW to get rid of the dirty water.

I have a long lasting grinding noise on heavy cycle

this is a cutting blade that helps cut up bigger debri that should have been washed off the dishes, you should not be able to see it if you are not taking the cover off,, where is the cover?? you might want to lacate this,, this might be your whole problem, it could be stuck under the dryer element, or lodged in undr the blade that throws the water around,, locate this and you might have found the problem

Food odor builds up if dishes not washed daily, even though we rinse evrything thoroughly before loading dishwasher. No water remains at bottom - nothing appears to be stuck in drain. Any thoughts?

No matter how well you rinse wares, some food particles will always go into the machine. Sometimes these particles can build up and lead to what you describe. I would start by inpecting the wash tub area; remove screens, remove wash arms and clean as needed. You are looking for any residual food soil which would harbor bacteria. If all else fails, follow your nose!
Once everything is as clean as you can make it, then purchase a product for cleaning/deliming your machine. One I know of is called "Dishwasher Magic" which should be available at most appliance repair stores. Run this through the machine on a long or heavy cycle. Once complete, run a second cycle with nothing but water to rinse any lingering chemistry.
Lastly, for a 3rd (and final) cycle, add a cup of bleach to kill off any remaining odor-causing bacteria. But, DO NOT SKIP THE RINSE CYCLE mentioned above.
This should take care of the problem,
Kermit

Dishwasher problem

sounds like a blocked pump or pump line is blocked. you will need to check these and also clean out the spinners. not using a dishwasher can do more damage to them as there is long periods for the systems to dry. this cause a build up of food particles. using a cleaning agent for the dishwasher can help stop the build up.
