The camera can only be used with the original Panasonic battery, the camera will refuse to work with 3rd party batteries.

this kit is said to work with your ZS6

clean the battery contacts from the camera and check that they are touching the battery properly. seems like the camera is malfunctioning. take out the battery and hold the power button for a while reinsert the bat and try again.

Panasonic DMC-ZS6 when in camera mode lens comes out and I get the message "Please turn camera off and then on again" when I turn off the lens just stays out.

There is an issue with the camera focus circuit in lens. That is why it is ok when you go into playback mode but negative when the lens is involved.

I have Panasonic DMC-ZS6 Lumix w/4gb memory card - has worked fine until today- now window says

SD/SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Have a Panasonic DMC-FS15 and get message saying "turn off and back on" followed by "system error (focus)" Have tried taking battery out for length of time and making sure charged, blew...

I have this exact problem. I note, your issue is happening at the same time. Weird.

Tried a variety of other "fixes" but none seemed to solve this issue. Thoughts?
