Barring a poltergeist, just for laughs block the remote control receiver 'eye' on it and see if it acts up. Maybe it's getting infrared commands from 'out there' somewhere because someone is sitting on the remote.

My hvac is not cooling. It is DATs/Zone controlled with a honeywell hz322. When I bypass the hz322 by shorting R W on the furnace control board heat runs fine. The HZ322 is reporting DATs temp limit e

limit will open when exceeded heat at heat exchanger. possible cause restriction on air flow(blower speed too slow, dirty filter or weak limit switch itself). when unit cooling down limit will reset and start back like nothing was wrong

What is wrong with my Goodman AC unit?

Sounds like it has no power getting to it at all. Dont forget that some circuit breakers have UP as ON and some have DOWN as ON. Do not just assume a common way is always the same. You may even have to have one UP and the other DOWN as on. Check what the switch or circuit breaker has written on it to be sure.
AIR CONDITIONERS run like a refrigerator, they manufacture their own Heat or Cool and blow air past the unit to give hot or cold air to cool or heat the Room. These do not require flowing water.
Sometimes people (wrongly) call EVAPORATIVE COOLERS air conditioners. (An evaporative cooler just blows AIR past flowing water to humidify the flowing air and therefore "cool" the area)
An evaporative cooler therefore would require running water and without flowing water, the unit may not start due to the installation of a "fail safe" switch. An evaporative cooler would generally have a large box mounted on your roof with open sides with filters which are kept moist by the running water and through which the fresh air is sucked and pumped into your home.
There are varying thoughts on both, I personally consider the REFRIGERATED style as the most effective type, but they are more expensive to install and run.

How to reset my sony mhc-gs100??? it keep saying power protect...

Your stereo went into protect mode to prevent complete failure of the amplifier inside that radio. Most of the time this happens from playing the stereo real loud for a real long time and it overheats. Most of the time disconnecting the receiver/stereo and letting it cool all the way down or at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting it to the power source will reset the protection mode. You want to make sure you are keeping the radio cool. Don't stack anything on top of it and try keeping a small fan blowing on it to expedite the heat out from the unit. Also turning it down every now and then to let everything cool down a bit will help prevent it from going into protection mode as well.

When i hook up my ipod to the kcu cable nothings happening and i cant even find an ipod source channel on the head unit itself

Is there an option for AUX or Auxilary input anywhere on the head? Try switching the input source through all possible settings while playing the ipod and ensuring the volume is on, to see if it plays.

A buzzing humming sound improves greatly when in bypass mode. most of the sound seems to come from the center channel.

Ensure that the source cables are not touching/crossing power cables, and make sure the power source is clean(surge protector/regulator).

Switching on by itself

Hi...
Try covering the little red window that has the wireless remote receiver behind it. See what happens. If the problem quits, your stereo is picking up some other IR source in the room.
Also, shoot some WD40 into the cutout around the power switch
( WITH THE POWER UNPLUGGED) push the switch on/off several times then plug the AC back in.

Inducer and ibm turns on and stays on no heat or cooling

Check to make sure you have 24-28 volts between R and C. If you do, you probably have a bad board but you also need to verify that you have the same voltage between W and C on a heat call if not then it could be something in the tstat ot he wires (jumping R and W pretty much rules this out).
The Kill switch may not reset the board, kill the power to the furnace itself.
Was the problem there before the new tstat was installed?
Also on some models continuous blower is initiated by a "kicked" roll out switch or and overtemp condition, Check for continuity on the whole safety circuit.

No cooling in Auto unit does nothing

The fuse of the control board or the control board itself has the problem. You have to call a technician to check.

I'm not familiar with the exact system you have but the simplest cause to this problem woulf be a sticky switch, since power is reaching the system for the stand by light to come on.

It is possible to test switches like this by opening up the stereo and touching an unbent paperclip across the two metal contacts that go into the switch. If it comes on then you know your switch is bad, however be warned that running electrical equipment with the casing off puts you at risk of receiving a shock if you touch the wrong part so I don't officially recommend this.

If the switch is faulty then you can either try cleaning it by spraying a contact cleaner such as IPA into it or just replace the part (though this will require soldering).

Otherwise, some stereo systems have an internal fuse that will blow to protect the circuit if you overload it so have a look for fuses on the circuit board.
