It does sound like the clutch is worn out. You would have to completely disassemble the whole tool just to get to the clutch. Then there are no parts available.
While the 52 was a very good drill the clutch had a tendency to wear out. I know it is hard to give up on a tool that is still working halfway, but the tools made today are much faster than the 52.
PS if you look to purchase a new one from Hilti they always offer a trade on your old one.
