My older AMS Roadster 15CSA needs a memory upgrade to 64 mb. Is this even possible? Is the manual even still available? Thanks, Tom

Im looking for drivers that can upgrade it from 16mb to 64 mb

    Hi,

Unfortunately you can not upgrade your "NVIDIA Vanta LT 16 MB AGP" Graphic card from 16 MB to 64 MB by installing or upgrading the driver.

It comes in 4-16 MB configurations and the max video memory is 16 MB for that type of graphic card.

You have to buy new graphic card which is capable 64 MB memory.

    Hope this helps.

We purchased 3 units with windows 95. can we upgrade, to xp or 2000 and load pos software?

    Hello,

Basically the answer is no. The Javelin LC's come with 32MB of memory...the required amount of memory for XP and 2000 Pro are double that. 64 MB of memory total needed.

So without upgrading this PC which might not even be possible then you will have to use Windows 95.

Post back if you have any question's or comments. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Need To Upgrade Or Somehow Add A New Graphics Card

There is a way, yes, but it requires a few tools and no fear as you rip into the laptop case. I could explain this in detail but I'll leave you with this tutorial on the 'HOW-TO' side of things to browse at your leasure:

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/148909/upgrading_your_laptops_graphics_card.html

However, upgrading the RAM will improve speed (if that's what you're really going for). Otherwise, adding a more powerful card may not increase your screen resolution but can add more kick to your gaming experience.

If you're just looking for a little more speed with higher resolution, I'd upgrade the RAM a bit and purchase an external flat screen 1080P 22" monitor that'll plug right into the back of the laptop. It will save you the frustration of possibly damaging the internals of your pc and the disappointment when you realize that the increase in performance isn't worth the risks/effort involved in switching out the cards.

Memory Upgrade for Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers, the Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers takes the PC133 SDRAM SODIMMs Memory Type, and comes installed with 64 MB (non-removable) of Memory. You can upgrade your Dell Color Laser Printer 3100cn Printers to up to a maximum of 576 MB Memory, the system has 1 socket to install Memory, already with 64 MB (non-removable) standard Memory installed.

HP Bus. Inkj 2800... Memory Upgradeable?

First thing to do is check out the User Guide. If you do not have one, here is a link:

    HP BIJ 2800 User Guide

Look under Installing Accessories for instructions.

The printer looks like it can hold 2 DIMMs, either 64MB or 128 MB. Here are the HP part numbers from the manual:

HP 64 MB SDRAM DIMM Part NO - Q1887A
HP 128 MB SDRAM DIMM Part NO - C9121A

I would contact the HP Store directly to see what they have available for your printer. You can do it online at HP Parts Store or by phone at 1-800-227-8164 Mon.-Fri. 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST.

    Main memory upgrade

I have many a time wanted to increase the main memory in my PDA. Sadly, there is no way to upgrade the main memory (unless you are handy at soldering, regulating voltages, and all that fun stuff). I have seen some web sites that upgraded older Palm's main memory but never an IPAQ (ie. Pocket PC). I suggest removing the older program before installing the newer version. If you have addresses saved in the program, I would first save those to a differnt file so that the uninstall does not delete them. To uninstall the program from the PDA tap the windows button, tap settings, tap the system tab, tap memory, and finally the remove programs link near the bottom of the screen. A list will appear with all the programs loaded on your PDA. Just tap the one you want and then tap remove.
