I have a dell computer and a hp photosmart c5280 it will not open the digital image monitor what do i do?

I have had some issues with hp software for printers. usually to make it work i had to do complete uninstall and reinstall and that was pain. Sometimes you firewall will block it or anti virus software. try to turn them off and try to open and if this does not work then reinstall it. Make sure you download latest software form hp site if available and not the cd since this sometimes can cause issues (Outdated drivers).

When i press the start scan button it says 'options not set'

Trying to scan a page from my HP 2120 printer. Pressing the scan button flashes the ''on'' light for a few seconds, then it stops and nothing happens...??

How to turn off the ready message?


u need to b more detailed in describing..!!
i need to know the make..
however, in case of HP, turn off 'HP Digital Imaging/Monitoring' or hpqtray*.exe, at startup..open Run->type 'msconfig',-> <the Microsoft Configuration Utility will open> ->click on the Startup tab-> <here u'll find listed startup programs> -> <uncheck the said>..
hope it'll work....

HP C5280 all in one prints but does not scan


2 ways to scan from HP printers

First* try from "my computer" ... near the bottom of the page you should see "scanners" in there, try clicking that and follow prompts

Second* go to start/ programs/ HP/ HP Solution Center
all scanning choices should be on the left

Installed HP c5280 64-bit drivers on new pc. Now


Try this Go to start control panel System,Hardware,Device Manager,find the plus sign by the imaging devices (or Printers) click to expand ,find your printer, click properties,click roll back driver.If that fails use system restore to restore to an earlier date when things worked fine.Good Luck.

MY HP PHOTOSMART DOES NOT GIVE OPTION TO SCAN TO PC


First make sure that the software is sucessfully installed in you computer and then try the steps metioned bellow.
Go To My computer>C:\Drive\windows>system32
Copy hpzipm12
minimize this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
minimize this window.
Go back to My computer>C:\Drive\windows>system32
Copy hpzinw12
minimize this window

Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Now you will see two new files in Startup
Now go to My Computer>C:\Drive\Program Files>HP>Digital Imaging>bin>
Copy hpqtra08
close this window
Right click on Start button on the computer>Explore>Programs>Startup>edit>paste
Restart the computer
Open Hp Solution Center> Settings>Scan settings and preferences> Scan to button>
check destination list> if available applications are not in the destination list then add them in the front panel destination
Tried to scan.
