Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have a Wacom Bamboo Craft Tablet, and it was working just fine a few days ago, and today when i hooked to it my computer, the nib part isn't working. The eraser part is just fine. I replaced the nib and it still wont work. It doesn't even seem to notice it's there. I don't have the installation disk (it got lost) and I can't seem to get it to work on the laptop either. (i have a normal computer, and when i tried it, it didn't work) The nib doesn't seem loose. Please, i need an answer. Also, when i press the pen down, it notices it's there, but the hovering wound seem to work. When i do drag it on the tablet, it won't click, either. I'm holding it half a millimeter away and it's not seeing the pen is there. And The bottom button on the Tablet, i have no idea what it is. Or what it does. Can i have an explanation, please? I couldn't find it in the booklet.

Since the tablet is receiving the eraser it is more likely that the pen itself is damaged. This is good news because the tablet is much more expensive to replace than a pen. You can buy replacement pens for the Wacom Bamboo tablet directly from Wacom. I will include the link but if you do not feel safe clicking it you can go to Wacoms site, click Products > Buy Now > Bamboo, you will find some pens available for about $30.

Here is the link: http://direct.wacom.com/stores/5/Bamboo_C137.cfm?UserID=22113229&jsessionid=a630896e283d$FE$15$1

Does the Wacom Intuos2 Classic Pen (xp 300e) work with the Wacom Bamboo CTL 470 tablet?

From what I read on Wacom's site, they are NOT compatible.
The Bamboo use a stylus that is different than the nib pens that the Intuos use. The stylus for the Bamboo is more like the stylus you can purchase for smart phones. The Intuos pens are pressure sensitive and have different nibs you can use for different effects and feel. You can go to their website and look for compatible pens and stylus' for your specific tablet.

Okay so I have had my Wacom Bamboo Craft Pen&Touch for about a week or so. the installation went down pretty easy but for some reason i cannot install the bundles that came with it. One is Bamboo Craft...

Assuming the CD/DVD driive is working correctly, it sounds like your have a bad install disk. If you have access to another computer, check to see if the install disk is recongnized on it.
If you need to get a new install disk, go to http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/ to contact Wacom. If you have the receipt you can work with them to get a replacement disk for Bamboo craft. If you can, you might go back to the vendor and ask for a replacement.

Why has my bamboo pen and tablet become so sensitive?

I've had the intuos and it worked for years without incident. I have the bamboo and after only a few months it's having issues. WTF is up with that?! I've already changed the nub out once. It worked fine for a while but now... I have to double click to get it to release anything it grabs onto. As a graphic artist where precision is involved... that's very bad.

I think it's time to contact their customer service.

Wacom pen does not function

Unfortunately I had the same problem.

Its from moisture in the pen, could be from humidity or something spilling on it. Try searching google for information on how to fix wet electronics. (Im quite sure youre not supposed to use heat)

My Tablet pen wont release, it acts like im clicking and holding

I'm just gonna pass on a email from Tech Support I recieved.

"It sounds as though your pen has pressure in proximity. This is present when the tip sensor of your pen is stuck down causing the pen to think that it’s clicking before it’s even touching anything. What you may want to try would be to remove the nib from the tip end of the pen, it pulls straight out with a pair or tweezers or your teeth, and leave that out overnight with the pen left on its side. Place the nib back in the morning and if the issue persists then you may have a defective pen tip."

The rest consists of personal info and warranty advice so I'll leave it there.

Try replacing the nib. You should have three extras in your box.

My Wacom Bamboo Tablet Pen: only the pen was dropped. Now the eraser works but the pen tip does not. Neither do the buttons. The tablet itself does not pick up the pen tip's presence, but it works perfect...

Try replacing the pen nib. Take out the little nib with a tweezer or something along those lines and replace it with a new one. There should be a few of them when you bought the tablet. Also, try looking at the tablet properties.
