Humidifier wants to overflow. I have not used for several months but have cleaned the filters The seal on tank appears fine and does not leak when removed from unit. What is solution?

The humdifyer has ran fine in the past. I'm sorry perhaps my description of problem was not complete. The water from the tank is overflowing on to floor. However the checkvalve appears to have a good seal when I am filling it. It is not overflowing from humidity removed from the air, rather from the tank when inverted and properly mount in machine. Next guess??

Hello
Have you checked the drain hose for gunk?Try taking out the collection tank and cleaning out the drain hose or drain hole to and from the collection tank.

Also if this has a float,be sure the float is able to move freely and not full of gunk.

A little bleach and water will clean out the hose.

Make sure the unit is level,or water is able to flow freely to the tank.

This is an unusly question . A humiderfier is supposed to put humitidy in to the air not take it out. A nd i assume that from your question that that there is more water in the unit then before you filled it and turned it on .Witch would mean that eighter the motor is running backwards or the fan is on the mechine was put on backwards . It could be some kind of factory mastake basicly its working in reversers and pulling air across the coils and working like a dehumidifer its the same princibale

HOW DO I FIX MY CARBURATOR THAT IS LEAKING GAS FROM THE BOTTOM HOSE

if it leaks from the bottom it should mean the tank is overflowing, i.e. the fuel inlet seal leaks or is dirty. Remove it the carb, open it, clean everywhere, blow some air where the fuel was flowing. By pressing on the seal you should be able to stop the flow of air. If not, you know wich seal is faulty... Make sure everything is very clean inside. No water is acceptable at the bottom of the tank (it can happen.) Any liquid inside the floater is a bad sign; it must only contain air, otherwise it won't close the fuel inlet when the tank level is good... -> overflow! Good luck.

Hello.

The GE humidifier adds a continuous stream of cool mist intothe air, giving moisture to dry air due to cold weather or dry climate or tohelp those who desire additional moisture because of respiratory problems orallergies. Sold online and in many department or home retail stores, thehumidifier requires regular cleaning and maintenance for proper functioning andto help keep mineral scale or bacteria from growing in the humidifier. ·1 Connect the power cord on the GE humidifier firmly to a power outlet if thehumidifier is not working. Replace or reset the circuit breaker as necessary.Turn the power switch to "On" if there is power but the unit is notoperating. · 2 Fill thewater tank to the "Fill" mark if the mist output is low or notpresent. Wait 15 minutes after filling the tank and before starting thehumidifier to allow the wick filter to absorb the water for proper function.Turn the humidistat knob to a higher setting for higher output. · 3 Check the capon the water tank and close the cap firmly. Check the rubber tank cap ring onthe cap and reseat firmly to help provide a better seal. · 4 Replace thewick filter with a new wick filter, available through General Electric, if thewick filter inside the base turns brown. Replacement parts may be ordered bycalling 877-207-0923. · 5 Clean thewater tank with vinegar and a soft brush if the water begins to get cloudy.Rinse well before refilling with water. Use cold water in the tank, as warm orhot water may make the water appear cloudy. · 6 Loosen thetank cap slightly if the humidifier cycles on and off unexpectedly. Turn theknob to a higher or lower setting. Thanks.

How do you fill the venta humidifier I don't have

http://www.appliancefactoryparts.com/content/pdfs/123738.pdf

Fill Water Tank.

Turn off humidifier and unplug the power cord from A/C outlet. Remove tank from

base. Turn upside down and unscrew filling cap. Fill tank with clean, cool, distilled,

filtered, or tap water. Do not attempt to fill unit through Vapor Nozzle. Water temperature

should NEVER be too hot or too cold. Extreme temperatures can damage the

unit. Tighten filling cap firmly. Return tank to base and let it sit for a few minutes. For

first time use or when replacing the demineralization cartridge filter, please soak the

filter in warm water for several minutes.

Hunter Humidifier #33222

From The Hunter Manual
1. Turn the humidifier ‘OFF’ and unplug the unit.
2. Lift the main housing and remove the water dispersion tray and the PermaWick™ Filters. The motor is attached to the main housing. Do not place the motor near water. Do not use a wet towel on the motor or motor housing as electrical shock may occur.
3. The PermaWick™ Filter should be cleaned in a vinegar and water solution to remove any mineral buildup. Place in a solution of one (1) gallon of water and eight (8) ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Allow the filter to soak for 20 minutes.
4. After soaking, rinse it several times with clean water. Place the PermaWick™ Filter in a location where it can drip dry while you clean the other parts of your humidifier.
5. Remove the water tank from the base and empty any water that is left in the tank. Soak the base in a mixture of one (1) gallon of water and eight (8) ounces of vinegar for 20 minutes.
6. After soaking, wipe the base with a soft cloth or sponge to remove any mineral build up. Rinse with clean water several times. If you are planning on storing the humidifier, be sure the base is completely dry.
7. Fill the water tank with one (1) gallon of water and eight ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Replace the tank cap and shake the tank vigorously until all interior surfaces of the tank have been exposed to the water/vinegar mixture.
8. Empty the tank of the water/vinegar mixture. Rinse it several times with clean water and then replace the tank cap. If you are planning on storing the humidifier, dry it inside and out, leaving the cap off to allow the tank to completely dry. Continue to clean the other parts of your humidifier.
9. Remove the water diffuser cap by squeezing the two tabs as shown in Figure 3. Rinse the cap in clean water to remove any debris. If the cap contains hard water residue, soak it in a mixture of one (1) quart of water and two (2) ounces of vinegar for 20 minutes.
Rinse well and reinstall the water diffuser cap. Do not expose motor or other electrical components to water.
10. Wipe the surfaces of the main housing with a soft cloth.
11. Once all the parts are clean, reassemble the humidifier, and follow the USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER to continue use. If you are storing the humidifier, make sure the parts are completely dry, reassemble, and store in a dry location

Water Tank leaks all over the floor

This happened to me the second night of use.  Water all over the carpet and a dripping vent. I called customer service and they told me to remove the tank and filter, and run unit dry for an hour or so. Then restart it.  Worked fine after that.  I think we may have bumped it which is said to be the cause of most leaks.  Bummer is that after 5 night of use the grip on water tank slipped and the tank is in pieces.
