The folder on your computer must be shared with full permissions given. From the scanner, you then browse the network to the computer where you created the share. Save that as your scanning destination.

How to clear scan data


Your machine will show 100% and that is correct. It doesn't mean memory full, but rather the amount of memory that is still available. Once you scan a document you will see the memory drop down to 99% or even lower depending on the size of the scan. If you don't see this happening than you are not scanning. Other than that your scan will either go to a folder on your PC or straight to your email. All you need to do is locate the folder it saves your scan in (usually created in your C: drive) or check your email folders including your Spam/Junk mail folders.

Scanning with [Start] on the Machine
By pressing [SCAN] [Start] on the operation panel of the machine, you can scan
documents to your computer.
Pressing [SCAN] [Start] has the same effect as clicking [Save] in the MF Toolbox.
You can change the settings for [Save], or set up a button other than [Save] to
perform the same operation. (See “Setting the Scanning Function for [Start],” on p.
3-3.)
NOTE
You can use the machine for only a local scanner (connected directly to your computer).
1 Place the document face-down on the platen glass or load it
face-up in the ADF
2 Press [SCAN] [Start] on the machine.
If you are asked to select a program to launch, select “MF Toolbox Ver4.7.”
Scanning starts.
The MF Toolbox and the [Save] dialog box will open, but the document will be
scanned without pressing [Start] in the [Save] dialog box.
The scanned document will be processed according to your settings.
When you use [Start] for the first time, a folder with the scanning date will be created in
the [My Pictures] folder in the [My Documents] folder, and your document will be
saved in this folder. If there is no [My Pictures] folder, the folder with the scanning date

I scanned photos but cannot find them anywhere on computer.


scan document/photo it will ask what format you want to scan it then it will ask where you want to save it browse select the file/folder where you want to save it my documents (my pictures) most common

Every time I scan a document I can't ever find it on my computer to attach as an email. Any suggestions?


Yes, this happens, some obscure folder somewhere.... There are a couple of ways to find: the easiest is to scan a document and SAVE IT IN A FOLDER within your documents folder. Some scans of pictures file in the pictures folder on your system, while documents often scan to a documents sub folder.

If you were to know the filename, you can search for that, and locate the folder location.

When i scan an item through my scanner, how do i retreive that item or save the scan to my pc.


During scanning normally the program asks you where to save your document. Anyway your document can be under documents folder or under Image folder.

I don't know where my scanned files go?


If you scan it as a document, it will create a folder labeled with the date it was scanned in your "My Documents" folder. If it's scanned as a picture, the folder will appear in "My Pictures." That's IF it's working. Mine sometimes looks like it's scanning but nothing saves at all.

I am so clueless, it has been so long since I've used it, I forgot how to savethe document after I scan it. Any help? Jeff


Yes, when your finished and you can view the document (usually in a PDF format) select save a copy and then select your selected folder/location for the document. My cannon has a setting to where I can choose a folder for all scanned documents to go to. I created a scanned documents folder and access them from there.

Your software will usually ask where you want to store the document once it's scanned. A lot of software is intuative enough to guide you through each step.

How do you set a scanned document folder on a ricoh aficio 1045?


do you mean how do you creat a folder to scan your documents into ? if you have document server or scanner buttons on the key pad, then just select scan and mofidy the folder to your choosing.
