Attach a small alluminium plate to the antenna and see if it catches the proper frequencies. if it catches then the antenna is proper.if does not catch and there is same problem , then you have to replace the antenna.the alluminium plate should be not in flat position it should be in curved position.

Where are you located, if not the United States?

In the U.S. this is the normal frequency range for AM and FM radio:

    FM - 87.9-107.9

    AM - 530-1710

Which band are you having trouble with?

Talk to your dealer, it varies from brand to brand. They will normally help with something like this. If not you need a new dealer.

If you changed the rear DIN cable to AUX with an adapter, you may need to turn the AUX/Changer feature on. Pioneer is not a brand I sell, but I am pretty sure you just go through the menu to turn it on. If you can't find the option in the main menu, try turning the deck off, and accessing the menu there.

Help with ipod connection to cd player

You must use 1 of 3 methods to connect your iPod
1. FM modulator to wirelessly broadcast on a low FM band
2. iPod 3.5mm male/male direct connect cable.
3. iPod USB connection - with Pioneer iPod adapter module.

The direct connect 3.5mm port is on the back of the unit. One plugs into the radio - one plugs into the iPod headphone port.

Multi media car stereo

If you have a vehicle that can fit a 'double-din' sized radio, I would suggest the Pioneer AVH-P4000...$500 without the extras. Easy to add an i-pod cable, has back-up video hookup. Also bluetooth ready as has capability for satellite, hd radio, and tv tuner if you ever wanted to add them.
