Question about Fujitsu 24C1 Air Conditioner

2 Answers

Have a Halcyon ASU12CQ Indoor Wall Mounted AC mini-split. Lately both the Operation and Timer lights on the front panel flash simultaneously, then both go out and only the Air Cleaner light remains on. Unit seems to be operational, but I am concerned since this is different behavior than when first installed. Should I contact service?

Same question: issue is not time sensitive since the unit IS operational.

I am attempting to determine WHAT the flashing lights mean (error codes) perhaps only a reset is necessary?

  • jennajonteau Mar 14, 2011

Here is complete cycle from cold startup:
Solid red (for operation)and solid green lights (for air cleaner)
    then approx. 2-3 minutes later (unit is still functioning);
4 times both the red and green lights blink
    red light goes out
3 times green air cleaner light blinks
    then BOTH lights go dark

later both the red operation light and the green timer (timer is NOT being used) light both blink simultaneously.

    This is VERY strange behavior

Hi Jenna,
Do you remember how many times the blink is, this is to know exactly where the fault came from?

This error code indicated that the unit initial self test sense the ff:

-(red blinks) force auto switch become on for 10 consecutive seconds ( checked if this is kept pressed if not this is most likely defective.)

-(green blinks) power supply frequency can not be recognized after 4 seconds of power on.

The a affected board is the controller PCB of the unit (for both blinks).

Isolating the trouble needs to attend by qualified technician, I would advice you to inform the dealer as soon as possible most especially if the unit is still under warranty.

    Hope I helped you.

    Have a nice day!

Abnormal behaviour such as these are often signs of looming problems to come. If the behaviour is not regular with the unit it is best to contact service now before the problem gets out of hand. Although most times the unit might just need cleaning but you cant be too sure. Contact service to come and have a look at your unit.

The flashing lights are not error codes. error codes mostly come with some sort of malfunction in the actual operation of the unit but presently no malfunction so the unit might only need some service.

We have 2.0 HP inverter wall mounted LG aircon, when we turn on the ac, the indoor unit only is running and shut down after 3 mins. What is the solution?

Hi Marie, does the green indicator light on the front panel flash after it shuts down? If it does...count how many times it flashes this will refer to a fault code diagnostic.
