Sounds like you have a lose wire, pull the light housing and check the connections. If all is good, drop the unit, and check the connections in the ceiling. You have a short in the power , and is showing you when the fan is spinning. I would not use light or fan till fixed.

I have Hunter ceiling fan / light. I installed it. It worked fine for a little while, than one bulb blew out, then a second bulb blew out, now none work. Yes I repaced all the bulbs, still don't w

I would check with a voltmeter if you can safely to verify power at the light socket using an adapter to a plug in it. If you can not do that, with power off you may want to make sure that the socket contacts are good and clean. Sometimes they can become tarnished badly.

Light blinking and getting more faint

sounds like a weak connection at the wire nut. check all for good contact enough wire so they all touch and the nuts are tight. the problem could be deeper than this if so see below.
get back to me with
1 the type bulbs
2how many and if they all blink and
3if the blink is synchronized with the fan blade and
4 if you have a dimmer..
5 happened just lately or been ongoing

We purchased the Hunter Ceiling fan over a year ago and it has worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago. When we turn on the light it just continuously blinks on and off.

there is a watt governor, or black box for the lights to cut down on wattage or energy use. you can remove the black box for the lighting, and wire it directly to the main wires. white wire to white wire, and black wire to red wire. black and red are always a hot wire and white is a neutral wire. the part number on black box should be 98480-02. this should stop the lights from blinking. have a good day !

The light portion of my hunter ceiling fan is blinking. At first it started blinking, then it didn't work at all, now it is blinking again. What is wrong?

the blinking is caused by the watt governor to lights( its a small black box with slots in it ). just remove this box and wire direct. this should fix problem.

if problems with blinking lights, remove watt governor on inside of fan for the lights.its a black box, white to white wire and black to red wire. and wire it direct without watt governor or black box. this should fix the problem. the part # 98480-02 for watt governor. they installed watt governors on ceiling fans to reduce light wattage.

they should all work. The only problem might be if they are connected via dimmer. Dimmers and CFL does not work together.

Ceiling fan lights won't work

Possibly, your switch has a short in it.Outside of that, it may be a broken wire somewhere. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Did someone give you advice on this? My fan is doing the same thing. Fan works fine, but the light does not. Looks like the electricity is not making it down to the ballast - trying to figure out how I can repair it.
