Question about NEC GMS20NF Speaker Computer Speakers

1 Answer

My wife and I moved. I was in the hospital the week of moving. Others got us all moved. How do I get the NEC GMS2ONF speakers wired back? Two connected for one +power and one connect for the other? If you can help, ot maybe send me to a site with a drawing, I sure would appreciate it. Don Beaber Austin, Texas Ultraflash2@sbcglobal.net

You should have a cable that connects one speaker to the other directly. Then there's the power cable, and there should be another cable connecting the PC to the speakers.
Important: The PC's audio-output is usually marked with green color, that's where you should connect the cable going to the speakers.
Hope the above helps!

This monitor has onboard amplifiers and external speaker terminals which can be connected to any set of speakers. The amp puts out about 7W per channel. There are attachable speakers made for this monitor (model PX-50XM1U-S1) which you may find as well.

Hope this helps,

My friend was telling me if I criss cross the wires. It would sound better is it true ?

The better sound is obtained with the correct polarity from amplifier to speakers. Imagine a bass sound that make your speakers to move foward. Both speakers should move forward. If you cross the wires you will have one speaker moving forward while the other(with inverted polarity) is moving back. This will cancel some frequencies as one speaker will "kill" the other. Therefore, check for correct polarity and enjoy
