If the display is the 'cold discharge' type (usually a greenish blue and sometimes an orange colour), it might be cheaper to replace the microwave, since the control circuit (which includes the display and associated circuitry) usually costs more than a new microwave.
If the unit is a brand name product, then approach the manufacturer for a price indication of the relevant spares, and have the full model number on hand when doing so.
