You need a 90 degree connector the same size diameter as your straight outlet setup and remove the punchout on the side. Unplug the dryer remove the back panel and the punch out on the side connect the 90 and voila you got side exaust

SOURCE: Need to move the dryer vent on LG DLE5955 to the side opening.

Knocking out a plug in the dryer, taking ducting loose, moving it around, putting in some new pieces, etc.,etc. Mostly mechanical stuff -- not a teriffically difficult job. Would help to be handy, though.

How can I find my necklace in my dryer?

First check the lent catching screen and then the vent and hose and the ground below the vent exit. Completely clean those out. If you don't find the necklace in that process, turn the dryer on to see if it will eject the necklace into the vent hose. If it is trapped behind the drum, you should be able to hear it rattling around. However, dismantling the dryer can be dangerous so you should consider a hiring a dryer repairman to do that if it is necessary.

Maytag dryer will not restart immediately after drying a load. has to cool down

try cleaning out your dryer vent. Remove your lint trap and use a flexible wire brush to clean deep inside, then remove your dryer vent hose and make sure all lint is clean from the dryer side of the vent and the vent hose all the way to the out side vent.
Sounds like it may be clogged with a build up of lint

My dryer is not drying i noticed there was no air coming out the vent out side

disconnect the exhaust vent from the back of the dryer and see if you have any air coming out of the back of the dryer if you do you will most likely have to replace the exhaust vent line that goes from the back of your dryer to your outside vent. Blockages of lint build up over time and should be cleaned at least once every 6 months. If you find that you have no air coming out of the back of the dryer when you remove the vent line message me back for further diagnosis. I await your reply
Thank you
Rick

Moved dryer to a new home. Dryer vent comes out of the middle of the dryer. New home vent is next to the outside wall so i have a bend off the dryer vent and then a bent to the out side vent, Can you...

Some Kenmore dryers have a knockout at the back, lower corner that can be "knocked out". If you have one of these it can be vented out through the side. If the knockout is there, a kit is available for the venting. Just go to www.sears.com and under the parts direct tab enter your model number aka 000.00000, and search out the kit.

Is it possible to re-configure the rear vent on a Bosch dryer

Most dryers have that option but not on the left side. You will need to cut a hole in the left side dryer housing. Then you will need to dis-assemble the back panel of the dryer and disconnect the vent pipe connection inside the dryer. Then run the moisture vent into the dryer housing from the left side opening and connect it to the venting system inside the dryer. You might not be able to put the opening in the same spot as the right side so you should do a visual inspection inside the dryer before making the opening to verify nothing is in the way.

Dryer Hookup

Simply move the dryer back against the wall.
Take a straight edge and place it at the 12 o'clock position on top of the dryer vent. Touch the wall with the straight edge. Mark the wall. Cut a 4" round hole below the wall mark.
Adjust dryer levelings legs if necessary.

Dryer takes too long to dry

This complaint is most often caused by the dryer's vent being blocked with lint. Dryers need to be properly vented, otherwise the moisture in the air can't be properly carried away. Vents that go out the roof are particularly problematic-- the dryer may take far too long to dry clothes and the vent pipe may even drip water that can't be exhausted. Minimum size for a dryer's roof vent is 4 inches. If your dryer has chronically poor drying, if possible, have the vent moved to where it exits a house wall near the dryer. The vent should be made of 4-inch aluminum rigid duct and elbows or, where absolutely necessary, flexible metal (but not flexible thin foil). Do not use flexible plastic duct-- it restricts air flow and is combustible. The dryer should vent outside--never into a crawl space, wall, ceiling chimney, or other type of flue. The bottom of the exhaust hood should be located at least 12 inches above the ground. Here is what to do: 1) Check the lint trap and clean it. 2) Be sure the dryer isn't pushed so close to the wall that it pinches off the airflow through the vent's air duct hose. 3) Check the point where the air duct vents away from the house. Be sure plants, birds, or anything else hasn't blocked it. If the duct vents out the roof, it could easily be blocked with lint. 4) Disconnect the air duct hose from the back of the gas dryer and clean out built-up lint. Note: For safety, first turn off the gas to the dryer, then unplug the dryer; this means you will have to re-light the pilot light later if the dryer has one (read your owner?s manual for proper re-lighting techniques). 5) If necessary, clean out the ductwork from the dryer to the exterior wall where it vents; this may involve disconnecting sections. One trick that sometimes makes this job easier (but only if the dryer duct is fastened firmly at all connection points) is to blow lint and debris through the duct and out the exterior wall vent, using an electric leaf blower.
