Hello & Welcome to FixYa

As the water did not drain completely then check the drain hose & drain pump filter for any clogs/obstructions, if you have already cleaned these parts and the unit will not work then replacing the drain pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Get the control panel off and remove the water pressure tubing. Blow it out and reconnect to pressure switch. Remove water so that pressure can once again build inside the tube. Retry>

My Kenmore dishwasher does not drain out, What could be the problem?

No drainage, or poor drainage issues are usually caused by either a failed drain pump, or the sump area under the sprayer is clogged with debris. The sump is the area at the bottom of the tub where water collects on the initial fill. A wash pump cycles the water throughout the wash cycle, followed by the same water being drained from the unit by means of a drain pump. This area is usually covered by a coarse screen and fine screen to prevent debris from accumulating. But, over time, some debris may still get past the screens and collect in the sump. This usually results in poor cleaning results due to restricted water flow through the spray arms, and poor draining.

I would recommend you remove the lower spray arm and screens and check the sump area for obstructions. If the unit still has standing water inside, use a wet/dry shop vac to drain. Remove the drain line from your sink and pull a vacuum on the end of the dishwasher drain hose. If the water drains freely from the unit, then you probably have a bad drain pump. If the water will not drain, you have a clog somewhere. Check your drain lines and pump for obstructions.

If you have any questions, please post back with a MODEL NUMBER. I hope this helps you.

Ran Cleaning Cycle, lights blinking w/ F- 21min alternating

f-21 is a blocked drain pump.remove the bottom panel,if you have a shop vac get all the water out, you'll see the pump and in the middle there's a piece that you can turn and pull out, first put towels under and around the pump to catch any water that leaks out, turn the part slowly and with your shop vac catch the water with the vac, take your time and open it little by little catching the water with the vac, when you get all the water out twist the middle part out and clean the catch and feel around in the boot and the pump and make sure you have it cleaned out.stick the middle piece back in and start the washer or you can fill it with a gallon of water and put it into a drain cycle and make sure it drains,if it doesn't you cooked the pump and have to replace it,let me know what you find and next time send the model number.

How do I clean the filter on my Kenmore 3.5 super capacity washer?

If its a front load washer there will be three screws on the bottom. I use torx bits. Remove the panel and you will see your pump to the right. I use a shop vac and have it ready unscrew the pump counterclockwise just a bit and let all the standing water drain into the shop vac. (you could also clamp the line with car radiator pliers i bought a set at harbour freight for about 10 buck and they work pretty decent. once all the water is out remove the screen and dump it. Its gonna smell nasty but you might find your wedding ring or car key (or maybe a quarter).

Let me know if this helps. I love to read feedback in testimonials it lets me know if it helped or not. Good luck!

How do I drain the outer tub of my washing machine?

If you own a wet/dry shop vac this can take about 5 minutes. Pull the drain hose from the stand pipe at the wall and pull a vacuum using the shop vac. These front loaders usually only hold about 5 to 7 gallons when full.

If you do not own a shop vac, you will need to access the drain pump and either remove one of the drain lines, or remove the clean out trap cover on the drain pump (if equipped). You will need a lot of extra towels to catch all the water. This can be a messy method to use.

If you need further assistance, please post back with your brand name and model number. All front loaders are not designed the same and this makes it much easier to diagnose. I hope this helps you.

What is f21 on the kenmore he2

Hi,
"F21" is a Long Drain error. This occurs when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. You will need to remove the bottom panel under the door by removing the two screws at the bottom edge of the panel. First, check the electrical connections to the drain pump and make sure the pump is running. Check the drain pump filter to make sure it is not clogged with debris. This is a very common problem. HINT: Before removing the drain pump filter, pull the drain hoses from the standpipe at the wall and use a shop vac to pull a vacuum on the drain hose to get rid of all residual water from the pump and drain lines. This is also a good way to get rid of minor clogs. If you do not own a shop vac, be prepared to lay down some old towels and soak up some water. There's quite a bit of residual water in the wash tub and lines (this is normal). In addition, check your drain hoses to make sure they are not clogged or kinked. If you check everything and still have the error code, replace the drain pump. Replacement parts can be found at searspartsdirect.com and repairclinic.com. Just type in your model number in the search menu. I hope this helps you.
pls rate my suggestion....

Water standing in bottom of dishwasher, after wash cycle is finished? This is a Kenmore model 665.1565591

My problem too recently.

I blew compressed air back through the drain line and let it bubble up in the standing water in the dishwasher. Then I put it through another cycle and everything was fine. Something must have gotten clogged and the air blew it out.

GE Triton Dishwasher will not drain they water after it's cycle...thoughts?

Peace,
Cut off the power at the breaker for 5 minutes and then turn it on and see if the system resets!
The machine was in your home 3 years , and used for more than that by someone else! I can tell you by the model that its at least 10 years old!
appliances more than 9 years old cost you money to run and fix! Throw it out and do not put good money into bad!

The new ones no matter how inexpensive will wash better and cost you a hell of a lot less to operate. They are so much more energy efficient today that they pay for them selves in a couple of years! With a new machine watch your water and power bill go down!!!
Other wise you need hands on service!
if you got the money do it new!

Bless You!

Won't drain

Remove the lower kick panel under the door and you should see the drain pump located directly under the wash tub. There is a screw off cap that can be removed to access the clean out trap. It is strongly recommended that you drain all residual water from the wash tub BEFORE you remove the drain pump cap, or you will have about a gallon of water to clean up. The residual water can easily be removed with the use of a wet/dry shop vac. Just remove the drain hose from the standpipe and pull a vacuum through the line with the shop vac. This will save you time later in clean up. If you do not have a shop vac, grab some old towels and place them under and around the drain pump. This will help in controlling the amount of water spill.

PS This residual water is normal in washing machines and should not be considered a problem unless the water is visible in the tub. Residual water generally sits between the outer tub and wash basket in the drain lines. This is truw with top loaders as well. Most front loaders will start a brief drain cycle at the beginning of the wash cycle to get rid of this residual standing water to prevent stagnant water from getting on your clothes. Just thought you might like to know...

I hope this helps you.
