How to install windows xp

To install Windows XP :

Required items
1: Windows XP CD ( SP 1/2/3 )/ Windows XP setup in a USB drive ( please ensure that you have made the USB bootable or it won't be detected )
2: CD Rom Drive ( if you want to install by CD )
3: USB Drive ( if you want to install by USB )

For a fresh install , follow the following steps accordingly :

1: Insert the CD into the Drive and restart the PC.
2: Note that your boot settings in the bios settings are correct (i.e 1st Boot priority CD drive if you are installing with CD and 1st boot priority USB if you are installing with Pendrive ).

3: Follow the steps shown on the screen which will throw a couple of options and settings.

4: Click on ' Install a fresh copy of Windows ' when asked for.
5: Select the drive in which you want to install it , it will be formatted and new windows installation would take place in that same drive.
6: Set your date and time region , enter the serial key when asked for.
7: The whole process should take around 45 minutes.

You are done installing it..Congrats!

Kindly note that installing any version of Windows by USB is always quicker than installing by CD/DVD.

Hmm..interesting, so let me get this straight:
You have 2 drives, C drive with Win8 and SSD drive with Win7?
You want to revert back to only having one OS on one drive?
Why can't you just erase everything on the SSD drive? I thought you already had Win8 on that drive? If you don't have anything that you need to keep on the SSD drive, I would just format it and start fresh. Although you always want your OS to run on the SSD drive so that your machine will boot up faster.

this might be because of a dusty motherboard and graphics card socket

try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems

hope this helps

If there still need the data on there computer then you will need to try and recover it.
I would say just install a new copy of windows and start fresh.

Trying to upgrade from windows XP pro to windows 7 pro error missing or corupt file ox80070241

The source you are installing from, either DVD or ISO file, is corrupt. Download a fresh copy of ISO file or burn a new DVD.

It is always better to install from ISO file directly using MagicDisc
or any such software.
If it still does not work, then i suggest that you backup all data and install windows 7 formatting the hard drive.

Hard Drive Prevents any other windows device from loading

Hi, Mark Here.
Yes the setup on the xp install puts drivers into memory, but being an older version of windows B4 sta was out it does not have drivers to support it.

You could go to Microsoft & search for a new version of setup install drivers that includes sta, & download to thumb.
Really typical Windows Failure (driver not available freeze up or blue screen).

My hard disk

the 7GB is probably the first partition from previous installation. You will need to delete all partitions on drive and then format the drive, that is if all is backed up. once that is done you can create a few "new" partitions and install Windoze to the first partition. make sure to make that one active and/or primary. the other partition you can use for Data.
