To turn off anti-theft mode:

1) Turn off the monitor
2) Press and hold the menu button
3) Turn on the monitor

Release all the buttons

that should disable the anti theft mode

I'm having the same problem (with the blue screen) - my question is: which one is the menu button? I have a series of 5 buttons underneath the screen (to the right, along the bottom edge) but they are not marked at all. Can you help?

on this model it should be the 2nd button on the left but there is 3 different models of this monitor with the same badge on the back , if its not the 2nd button turn on the monitor and try out the buttons untill you get the menu up

Disconnect the battery for @20 minutes. Then try again. Sounds like the anti theft is shutting the car down. You can also try locking and unlocking the car with the key fob 5 times ending with the vehicle unlocked. Try starting it again. If that does not fix it the chassis module is faulty or there is a short in the connector to it.

I have a 2001 mercury sable and the anti theft is on and I can't start my car. will disconnecting the battery reset it?

Yes, keep it disconnected for at least 10 minutes. Also make sure your Battery is good. Sometimes the Anti-theft is sensitive to Battery voltage and will not connect the internal parts to allow a start.

If you have a Keypad, enter the Security Code on the Keypad and turn the Ignition Key within 5 to 10 seconds to start it.

I would like to disarm anti-theft system

On my 1998 Exlorer Sport there is a set of 5 wires in a yellow sheath running from the ignition module to a brown connection point/harness in a very uncomfortable position directly under the steering column above the pedals.

I unplugged the connection at this point. This stopped the key-in-ignition chiming (part of the anti-theft feature) but I still get the chime alerts for headlights left on, initial chime when the key is turned. The pinging, or ringing chime comes from the multifunction computer located under the dash behind the radio.

Hope this help.

Car won't tunrover

try this -make sure battery is good and fully charged, then TURN KEY ON (DONT CRANK) AND LEAVE ON FOR ABOUT 10-20 MINUTES. TURN KEY OFF FOR 5-10 MINUTES AND THEN TURN ON AGAIN FOR 5-10 MINUTES AND THEN TURN KEY OFF AGAIN. NOW TRY CRANKING ENGINE--- IM GOING ON MEMORY/MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF THE OWNERS MANUAL IN FRONT OF ME. IF U HAVE THE MANUAL LOOK IN THE INDEX UNDER SECURITY LIGHT OR ANTI-THEFT FOR RESET PROCEDURE. get back to me if you need more help.

Ford explorer 2003 clock is running at approx double speed

have you tried resetting it ? basically unplug the battery for about ten minutes... also make sure you have the anti-theft code to reactivate the radio when you power it back up again (if it requires a code)
