Question about Washing Machines
SOURCE: LG TROMM WM 2077CW LE Error
An LE error is a locked rotor. The hall sensor on the stator part of the motor is not sensing the rotor part of the motor is turning. So the short version is you need a new stator(which has the sensor on it or just the sensor) replaced which should have a 5 year warranty on it so call LG for your nearest authorized service center

I had the same problem. I thought it was the motor it turned out I had a nickle wedged in the filter (bottom left behind panel) the nickle blocked the water pump makeing the pump overload.

SOURCE: LG Washer LE Error
Hey mark1963, You nailed it right on the head. I have the LG WM2277Hb. Just recently gave me the LE code. In my case the washer drum would just make a hum sound and looked as if it was trying to spin but wouldn't. I found your solution on fixya.com and decided to order the part and fix it myself. 6501KW2002A SENSOR ASSEMBLYSENSOR Very easy job to do. Took all of 20 mins to repair. Just wanted to say thanks. LG service is a joke. You saved me time and money.

You said, your lg washing machine shows LE alarm code
Unplug your washer for 10 minutes. If you can't reach the plug, turn the breaker off.
then when you turn it on the system should have reset!
And you will more than likely be fine!
Please let me know!
I think you will be solved.
Please remember to leave a rating! A solved I hope!

LE means "Overload in Motor" Unplug the washer, remove clothes, wait 15 minutes for motor to cool down. try again. If problem persists you'll need a certified technician.

Tips for a great answer:
If your washer was working previously please read below.
Thermal Overload Protection
Your washer may display the LE code if the thermal overload protection circuit in the motor has been tripped. The feature is designed to prevent the motor from overheating and causing permanent damage to the washer. To clear the error code, the motor must cool down. Allow the washer to sit for approximately half an hour before restarting the cycle. If the code reappears, the motor may have an issue that requires a service call. Unplug your washer and contact LG.
