Go to partstore.com or your local appliance parts store should be able to order it if it's still available.

You will need the model number and such

What to do about LG french door refrigerator that does not keep food cold

I would suggest you check the seal and the hinge. This frig has a piece that folds in and out flush for the two doors to seal, you might check that as well.

The gasket on the right hand French door is slightly torn, so I bought a replacement gasket. It's arrived, but I have no clue how to replace the gasket.

The gasket is easy to replace. Remove bins and shelves set them aside. Next at the top right hand corner remove the door trim cover pull it straight out and set it aside. Note the tabs on the inside of the trim are fragile. Peel back the gasket at the top forward edge and bottom frward edge and you will locate a hinge. Use a small screw driver to pop these hinges out. Pull out the gasket on that side first and the whole seal comes on out of there. The hinge slides out of the old seal. Just snap yer new back in. Do on door at a time. The trim pieces for each door are different. Snap your door trim back and check for propah opening and closing of door. Then party on!

DOOR GASKETS RIP AND TEAR DOORS DO NOT CLOSE PROPERLY

There are six screws on the top of the refer; you need to loosen all six ( that are holding the doors in positon ) and allow the doors to hang sloopy. Since your getting new door gaskets, install them on the doors and position the doors squarely so they seal completely and snug up the screws. Do not get carried away with cranking down on the screws or you have a major problem. You need all six screws applying gentle pressure on the door and it will work fine. Keep the contact surfaces clean where the door seals touch the chassis. Sugar, ketchup (has sugar in it) and other foods and condiments some times get splashed on the "Seal Surfaces" and the seals stick to it and when you yank the door open, it could tear the seal.... Install it, recheck it, adjust it, and recheck it.... KEEP IT CLEAN... MAJOR ISSUE.. df8c2cb.gif

The seals on the doors need replaced. They leak cold air and when you shut the freezer door the frig door pops open. How do I replace the seals?

You can peel back the seal looking behind it and there should be screws all the way around it. Or you problem could be caused by- The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Loud compressor noise from lg frig...

The sound you hear is the Freezer Fan, this problem is hard to diagnose, because the fan spins but not fast enough to circulate chilled air thru the freezer and refrigerator. The minimum labor and material cost for the repair/replacement is around $300.00. But if you chose to make the repair yourself the motor alone costs around $80.00@appliancefactoryparts.com. But the repair is very labor because the electrical connection for this fan is at the rear of the unit

Freezer section evaporator fan motor bearing are going out. This would be indicted by a high pitched squealing noise. Have the fan motor replaced and it should solve your problem.
