It is not your computer that needs drivers, it is the hardware you need to connect to the operating system that needs a driver. From Windows 7 and up, Microsoft only allows drivers, if the manufacturer asked for certification and the hardware and driver and they work conform Microsofts demands. If the hardware and driver is certified the driver is also on the Microsoft website. Most of the time if you use new hardware the operating system goes to Microsoft to see if there is a correct driver and then installs the driver.
For older hardware, only few manufactures make drivers and ask certification. Most only develop drivers for their new hardware. So for older hardware there are only a few drivers. If Microsoft can't deliver drivers, or the manufacturer from the hardware can't, you are lost. The devices won't work with the new operating system. Nobody told you that before upgrading. Since I upgraded to win 7 I could not use several expensive things I was used to, like a great Logitec webcam in a sphere, a great sound card from Creative labs, with break out box and so on.

My computer reaches the win xp starup screen then a blue screen flashes theen it restarts

There are a lot of reason why this is happening. It may be a newly installed hardware, one of the hardware is damaged or it may also be the RAM. You can try reseating the ram first. If that does not help, if you have hardware connected through USB, disconnect it first.
Install the operating system (win XP) with the mouse, keyboard and the monitor connected. Other peripherals (hardware) should be disconnected to the tower.

My monitor has vertical lines going all through the screen that I can't get rid of?

Hello and Welcome to FixYa.

Here are the possible reasons why you're having such problem:
  1. Corrupted video driver
  2. Changes in hardware configuration (display)
  3. Monitor issue (hardware)
In order to determine if it's hardware/software issue, all you need to do is to boot to BIOS and check if the problem replicates. Depending on system, you can go to the BIOS screen by tapping "F2" or "DEL" key repeatedly as soon as you turn on the computer until you see a different screen.

If the problem is present while in BIOS, then definitely the monitor needs to be repaired by an authorized repair center. Otherwise, video driver update or Operating system re-install can resolve this problem.

I hope this helps,

Thank you for using FixYa.

Reboot my pc

Thank you for your question.

I will presume that the computer has frozen and is not responding to keyboard/mouse commands. In this instance holding down the power button until the Operating System shuts itself down is acceptable. This is not the ongoing solution and should not be used continuously as it will corrupt the Operating System. If the computer is freezing continuously, there is another problem that needs to be identified and corrected. Installing new hardware and software can cause freezing and in Windows 7 not installing compatible software does cause issues.

If this is not the case, please repost with some more information and we will attempt to assist you further.

Kind regards

Try a different monitor. Most likely your having operating system issues that cause the monitor to do this.
Also - try this - As you turn the machine on tap the DELETE key - this will take you to the DOS platform of the computer. If the screen changes to anything you have operating system issues. Try a repair with the original disk or the operating system disk that was last installed.

No audio output device is installed, how do I put it in?? MAG monitor, Compace tower..

Depends on what operating system you are using. If you are using Windows Xp and above. You can try going into add remove hardware. Try adding a new hardware from list. When you can try reinstalling the windows audio driver. This has worked for me numerous times. Try this step
My computer
-Control panel ( use classic veiw)
-- Add Hardware
--- Click Yes
---- Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select add a new hardware device
----- install from a list 2nd option
------ click on sound video and game controllers
------- Try the Aztech systems and use the first option on the right hand window.
then click next until you are able to install it. It should work after that.
Best of Luck
