Hoover Spinvac F5915900. Trigger no longer causes a release of soapy water on floor. It doesn't have tension, fairly loose, but still in slots. How do I fix this problem?

The trigger that you pull to release water snaps into plastic pieces inside the handle where it pivots to push on the rod that goes down to push on the regulator that lets the water flow. If the trigger is pulled too hard it can break the plastic it pivots in. If this happens the rod doesn't push hard enough on the regulator to let the water flow. Remove the screw at the top of the handle to remove the handle part holding the trigger to see if this could be causing your problem.

Will spray water, but not solution

Hi there! The clean water tank has two spring loaded valves that releases the contents. Fill the clean water tank with water on both sides. Hold the cleaner up and push the valves in on both water and solution side. Both valves should push in and contents should drip out. If not, the clean water tank will need replacing. To order a replacement tank follow the link. Search Results The type of solution you are using can also prevent the solution from dispensing, be sure you are only using the recommended cleaning solution for this cleaner. If the clean water tank valves seem to be working fine, there may be an issue with the pump assembly that delivers the solution. We would recommend taking the cleaner in to an authorized repair center for service. To locate the nearest service center to you follow this link > Service Center Locator Hope this helps!

Hi You should have empted the water out of the canister before. The water has gotton in the motor and you may have shorted it out. Some vacuums may have a reset button. Push and try again.
Good luck

Hoover steamvac won't spray water on carpet.

Check the ank valve to make sure when you push it in that water is coming out. The reservior asm, (the tank bottom sits on this)is bad or the rod in the handle isn't pushing the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger.

F7425-900 hoover steam vac

There is a valve at the bottom of the tank, push it in and see if it goes in and out ok. The tank sits on the reservior asm., a rod in the handle pushes it when you squeeze the trigger. You may have a problem with the rod not releasing or a bad reservior asm.

Cleaning solution continually runs from clean solution tank

Where is the water running out? If at the bottom of the tank, is the seal on where the tank sits on, Maybe the rod inside the handle is staying pushed down, the reservior asm is bad, or a water line is off.

Hoover will not release water/solution

Maybe the reservior asm(#24). isn't working, when you push the trigger, it pushes a rod inside the handle to hit the reservior asm. so the water will release. Could be the rod isn't hitting the reservior asm. Maybe these pictures will help.

Have a hoover steam cleaner F5837-900 model

First off, check the dirty water tank, check the round filter on the bottom of the lid to make sure there is a gap and pushed all of the way up, then make sure that the lid is locked onto the tank. Check the bottom of the tank, push in the plunge to make sure water comes out freely. There is a round seal where the water tank sits, make sure it is ok. There is a diapham that the tank sits on could be bad, or the tube running down the inside of the handle is crimped. Could have a bad pump. but they don't go bad very often.
