Check the greeting table for the line to find what greeting it might be using 1, 2, etc. this might be where your strange message is located and the AA is using it instead of the CCR 1.

How do I clear the caller ID log of the 300 past numbers?

It's in the OM. It can be locked so nobody can view it by 77 xxxx xxxx # where xxxx is the same 4 digit password pressed twice. This is done from the operator's phone.

Rather than giving you the clear code, I prefer you go to the OM and find it. Clearing the log doesn't erase VM logging, but this is an open forum.

How to lock Panasonic kx-7730 telephone set

If it's connected to a TA series box, on the intercom dial 77 xxxx xxxx #, where xxxx is the same 4 digit number. That will lock the phone. It's unlocked with 77 xxxx, the 4 digit code you used to lock it.

You can review the procedure and conditions in the Operations Manual (OM).

I locked out the phone and do not remember my password

Before you get all hairy about the answer, remember that you have asked the question in a PUBLIC forum. If you get step-by-step instructions, everybody will be able to hack a locked phone in a Panasonic system and FixYa has a pretty good hit ratio in a search engine.

The feature you have activated is probably electronic station lock. It's set by 77 xxxx xxxx #. The xxxx is a 4 digit password that you key in twice. You unlock the set by dialing 77 xxxx , the password you used to lock it.

However, the operator can lock and release each extension from the console. The instructions are in the system OM (operating manual or user guide). In fact, an operator locked station can't do anything.

How can i lock my hhone model KX-T7730

The 7730 works on up to 18 different Panasonic key system cabinets. The innocent answer, believing that you have a TA model is dial 77 xxxx xxxx # Where xxxx is a 4-digit code of numbers. It's unlocked by 77 xxxx #.

Please don't post back that you lost the lock code :-)

How to change its locking code?

From unlocked status dial 77 xxxx xxxx # where xxxx is a 4 digit code you use twice. This is the instruction set for a TA-824 series so yours might be different.

You also may still be able to call out if the programming is set to allow outside calling.

Switchboard KX-T7730

The electronic station lock requires a couple of things, first it's dependent on the system, second, it requires some toll restriction programming, and then you can put in a lock code. At a minimum, in a TA-824 series, dial 77 xxxx xxxx #, where xxxx is a 4 digit number repeated twice. That locks the set, but it might not do anything different. It's released by 77 xxxx #. If you need help, consult your programming and features manual, or post back with the model of your phone system. Carl

I have 6 VODAVI 61612 phones. I want to reprogram some of them to havve 1-800 xxx-xxxx and 1-985 xxx-xxxx capabilities. Where do I start?

There is kind of a procedure. Here are the steps for this assuming you are using the Starplus 308. If this isn't the case or you want the manuals for your system, you can find them here.

1. Press SPD button
2. Press asterisk ( * ) once.
3. Dial bin location (00-09)
4. Select outside line or one will be chosen automatically
5. Dial number desired
6. Press HOLD button.
7. Hang Up

--Note-- Dialing an asterisk initiates a pulse to tone switchover. Dialing a pound ( # ) inserts a pause. Pressing the FLASH key inserts a flash. Pressing the CONF button programs a "no display".

Display for Caller Id incorrect

After calling Panasonic US at 1800-211-PANA (7262) regarding my kx-tga5420 and kx-tg5230 system's handsets.

On the handset, verify that Caller ID Edit is turned on first.
Menu-->Initial settings
Go to Caller ID edit
Select Auto edit ON
Save
Exit the menu

On the handset main display
Hit the button that relates to CID
Scroll down until you find the desired 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx number that you want to
be displayed as xxx-xxx-xxxx
Hit the edit key until you see the number displayed as xxx-xxx-xxxx
Save
(Note: You have to initial a call once you have saved the change.)

Now hit the TALK button to dial this number

Now when you receive calls from this number it wll show as xxx-xxx-xxxx instead of 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx.
