Out the bottom of what? The valve? (cracked valve body) The hose? (split in the hose) The carb? (Float valve 'sunk' or corroded or valve seat faulty)

I suspect it is the carb you are talking about. Either rebuild or have your carb rebuilt and that should take care of the problem.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

Gas in crankcase

Fuel from the fuel tank flows to the carburetor and then on into the engine cylinders. From there it seeps into the crank case.
It's a matter of gravity. The gas will seep until it reaches the lowest point in the engine.
There are two methods of correcting this dangerous problem.
1) When you are done using the engine you can turn it upside down, over a large container that is of sufficient size to contain all the gas and oil that will run out of the engine.
or
2) Turn the fuel valve to it's OFF position when you are done running the engine. This stops the fuel from seeping into the crank case from the carburetor.
(And a heads up from one who has personal, first hand experience. Be sure to OPEN the fuel shut off valve when you think you would like to start the engine.)
If you should have this happen again DO NOT try to start the engine!
(That's one of the reasons The Da always said, "Did you check the oil before you started that engine?")
Dump out all of the oil that has been contaminated with fuel and replace it with fresh oil.

My generator runs fine till you kick the ac on. Then it will die after about a minute or two

many generator problems is in the carburetor when you put a load the engine requires much more fuel and air most likely it's your carburetor jet and fuel tube are resticted especially if you had the generator stord for quite some time

not sure on gen set but as it is a warning code I would check sump oil level---. air filter condition---fuel level if it has one--problem in the genset electrical area. Contact a ac delco repair agent for exact fault analysis.

Sounds like contamination has set into the fuel shutoff valve on the bottom of the fuel tank, or the fuel cap vent hole is plugged. Test the fuel line that comes from the fuel tank. First turn the valve off, disconnect the fuel line that feeds the carb, insert the fuel line into clear small container, then open the fuel valve to the on position and look for fuel flow, now turn the valve to the reserve position and check again for fuel flow. If these test fail to yield fuel try the procedure again this time with the fuel tank cap loosened and check for fuel flow. If in both tests the fuel fails to flow then the problem can be isolated to the fuel valve/tank outlets or the fuel line to the carb.

Wont start

Make sure you have new fresh fuel in the tank; Check to see if spark plug is firing; if not , check the coil. If all of the above checks out ok, the carb might need cleaning. Have you checked all switches ? Any loose wires?
