Hi,

Can you provide me the details about camera like what brand it is and how old it is? . In recent times have you replaced any parts, or you have repaired recently?

We need model details to diagnosis the problem and guide you in the proper direction.

I am waiting for your reply.

Shane.

My polaroid dvf 130 camcorder won't connect to my computer.the software it came with says it doesnt need a driver since I have windows xp what should I do?

this is what i did, and it worked perfectly. go out and get a sd card * any gig u want* as soon as u put the sd card into the camera, FORMAT IT!!!!. do that before u do anything else. don't format it on ur pc or laptop. format it on the camera. if u do that it will work perfectly. i don't know why it wasn't in the manual to format sd card first. but if u try to take pics first, that will mess up the entire system and u will be assed out a sd card. it took me 3 sd cards to figure this out. the cards worked fine but not in the camera. then i formatted it on the camera first and it works fine. the other sd cards i use for other things, i won't discard them but they won't work in the cam. but remember again GET NEW SD CARD AND FORMAT THE CARD IN THE CAMERA FIRST.

Memory card error replaced card but still get error message?

Is it the SD memory card? or the Micro HDD(4GB) you're pertaining to. In case of micro hdd not detected or error, micro hdd socket(CF) assembly has a problem most likely, need to be replaced. SD card; check your SD card's capacity, it can handle only up to 2GB or try to format your card elsewhere and re insert it again in your camcorder, if it will prompt you "FORMAT SD CARD?" you're lucky

I take a video, move the sd card to my laptop, windows media player plays the sound choppy and shows only black screen.

Try using VLC media player. It is a free download and transcodes almost any video format. Works well with my proprietary encoded DVR file format.
