Every time I switch on the receiver it blows a fuse. There is obviously a short somewhere but I have no idea where. Any general problem areas with this receiver?

Sounds like its time to get it repaired.

If the fuse keeps blowing and you replace it and it blows - its telling you there is a problem.

HAve you checked the fuses are exactly the same - is it slow blow? Is it the correct ampereage?

If the fuse is not exactly correct then get some for a final test.

If you've alreqady done this get it to the repair shop before the fuse blows too slowly and some serious damage is done.

Windshield wiper fuse keeps blowing

Since you Disconnect the motor also renewed the switch and is still blowing the fuse ,it is obvious that you have either broken wire between the switch and the motor. Try to test the failure by means of a tester circuit. Good Luck.

I have a 2005 buell blast that keeps blowing the 7.5 fuse. I checked out all the wires for a short and tried a new fuse what would my next step be other than taking it to the shop.

Obviously you missed the short - that fuse only blows when there is a short to ground somewhere. re check your wiring, make sure you check ALL the wiriring ON THE BIKE. that fuse can pop because any number of switches like the kick stand switch or the handlebar switches are shorting.

My 2000 H-D fxdwg just started blowing fuses for my running lights . Can't find any obvious problems . Any ideas ?

Does it blow the fuses with the light on high or low beam? Has anything been added or removed from the bike prior to the fuses blowing? You definitely have a short/break in insulation somewhere. Places to look--between handlebars and frame (turning handlebars tightly may be pinching wires). Switches on handlebars, wires under tank, wires under seat

My gpz500s keeps blowing the lighting fuse, on start up (with lights switched on) any idea's as to what may be causing this?

assuming it is the correct amp fuse there is possibly a short in the system somewhere.
check for broken wires, often jammed by the steering head, damage to the switch blocks, or the head lamp or tail bulb can short out inside, remove these one at a time and see if this helps

Why would a turn signal keep blowing

Either water is getting into the socket or the hot wire is grounding against the body somewhere.

ASD and the fuel pump relays

Sounds like you may have a short in the wiring harness to the transmission. Somewhere from the trans to where it crosses the bellhousing area most likely.

Keeps blowing fuse

It has a short circuit somewhere...
Not sure if this is a CRT, LCD or Plasma TV but the two common causes of shorts for CRT's are the Horizontal Output Transistor (HOT) and/or the Flyback Transformer (Could be both). As a general rule if the flyback has visible cracks in the case they should be replaced. It is also a good idea to replace the HOT if you're replacing the flyback as it could be weakened and may not last much longer itself.
Other areas to check for all types would be any Diodes in the Power Supply Circuit. If a diode is open it can cause the fuse to blow. Note that a diode itself will not short, but an open diode can cause a fuse to blow.

Its actually a 13GP244

you need to check the power supply area. usually when a fuse blows, that means the bridge rectifier is blown or the ic in the power supply area is blow too or both are blown.check there..good luck
