Question about Acer Aspire One Netbook 8.9" Notebook
Are you using an internal or external webcam?
If you are using internal Hold FN and associated F button (diagram of a camera on it)
For example FN and F7 together and release togerther.
If external. Have you inserted the driver disk into your disc drive and installed the compatiable software?
If all of above doesnt work. Try a different usb connection port.
If all else fails and the hardware is on your notebook. Please follow these steps.
Click start. My computer. select top harddrive (1st in list)
At the top left of the my computer box there is a search bar.
Type your camera make / model into the search bar and it will bring up your webcam software (if you installed it)
Search through the folders until you find setup.exe / install.exe or something very simillar and click to install.

a. On the taskbar double-click the Camera Assistant Software icon , or from the Windows® Start menu, point to All Programs, Camera Assistant Software, and then click Camera Assistant Software. The Camera Assistant Toolbar location briefly displays on the desktop.
b. On the Camera Assistant Toolbar, click the Start Camera button and click on the icons on the software.
If the the above steps are not working, then follow the below steps:
You can reinstall the WebCam drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Acer Crystal Eye and install it
Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
Select the computer model
Select Operating System
Select Camera (Orbicam) and download it.
Once downloaded install it on your computer.
If still facing the issue, then you may need to perform full system recovery, to do so please follow the steps mentioned below
You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key
& keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.
NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer
