Question about Denon AVR588 Receiver
Try plugging a set of headphones into the headphone jack and then unplug them. This series of denon receivers have a common issue where the headphone jack shorts and the unit thinks there are headphone plugged in even when there isn't. This will cause not audio to be output to the speakers.
The plug/unplug method usually clears it, but it may be a temporary fix. To fully repair you would need to have the jack replaced.
