Here you go, Ray Ray...

In order to calculate the factorial of a number you must do the following:

1. Type your number [8]
2. Hit MATH
3. Scroll to PRB
4. Hit ENTER [The factorial symbol should be either the 1st one on that list or the 4th one]

Longstoryshort, if you want to find the factorial symbol on your TI-83 you must go to MATH. PRB. !. Done

By the way...that factorial is the fastest growing type of function in mathematics, and it is the backbone behind permutation, combinations, and a lot of probability theory.

Have Fun,

Why am I getting an error ( ERR: OVERFLOW) when I try larger numbers, e.g. 123!

  • Math Cheetah Apr 07, 2011

You are getting ERR: OVERFLOW because your Calculator cannot handle enormous numbers.

By enormous numbers I mean numbers with more than 100 digits. Other calculators can handle larger numbers...but not by a whole lot (I think the TI89 titanium goes up to 400 digits).

Besides, though, unless you are writing a program on your calculator which needs to store an insanely large number (like the birthday probability scenario) then you won't really need the calculator to know humongous numbers.

By the way...there's a name for the number which is 10^100 (1 followed by 100 zeros). It also is the name of the most visited website on the internet (slightly different spelling, though). Do you know what that name/number is?

If you find that name/number then I've got another thing for ya.

PS. 123! is a number with 206 digits. Your calculator vomits when thinking of such a quantity. Overflow.

How do you change the exponent to x

On this calculator you have to use the "^" key.

For example, 2 to the exponent 3, type 2, hit the "^" key and type 3. Your answer should be 8, as 2^3 = 8 or the long way, 2 x 2 x 2 = 8.

Good luck.

How can I find the product Key of the Windows 8 pre installed in my Toshiba Satellite C75A 13N?

Most Windows 8 product keys are stored in the CMOS now. To use teh key, load Windows 8 from the factory restore partition or from a Genuine Windows 8 ISO Image or Genuine Windws 8 DVD and the CMOS will weave its magic when it sees Windows 8 being loaded.

How can I find my windows 8 product key

Buy Windows 7 Activation Key 64bit 32bit
http://www.Genuinewindowkey.com/
I want to thank Windows 8 Enterprise Product Key here, she has won my business and I'll be posting my experience to you and others.
My old computer crashed days ago. I had to buy a new computer. It costed me much.
My budget was not much. To purchase a Windows 8 Enterprise Product Key from MS was not enough. Then I went to Tomshardware, and one guy recommended http://www.Genuinewindowkey.com/ to me. Their price did attract me. So I decided to try after several emails to Windows 8 Enterprise Product Key. She was very patient and answered clearly to all my questions. I receved the key immediately after I sent {price} bucks. It worked perfectly. I was very very satisfied.
I'll be buying from http://www.Genuinewindowkey.com/ from now on as well.

Where is the constant factor key on a Canon P170-DH?

How to do constant multiplication or division on the Canon P170-DH calculator

This process actually requires fewer keystrokes than other calculators. Basically, just do the first problem
and then do the next items with just the next number and the EQUAL key. For example,

*** Constant Multiplication ***
2 (multiply key)
10 (= key)
(The answer 20 shows on the screen. Note, the 2 is still stored as a constant without doing anything, just continue)
4 = (shows the answer 8 on the screen)
20 = (shows the answer 40 on the screen)
100 = (shows the answer 200 on the screen)

*** Constant Division ***
10 (divided by key)
2 =
(shows the answer 5 on the screen, the 2 is still stored as a constant without doing anything, just continue)
100 = (shows the answer 50 on the screen)
500 = (shows the answer 250 on the screen)
4 = (shows the answer 2 on the screen)
